CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University men's tennis team heads to the Bluegrass State for a 1 p.m. (CT) Wednesday match against Bellarmine at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. 

Austin Peay (5-10, 1-4 ASUN) most recently took a 4-3 win over Queens on March 29. The Govs secured the early doubles lead with wins from the one and three positions. Sota Minami and Aeneas Schaub defeated Win Steveker and Jan Montero Diaz 6-2 on court one. On court three, Giovanni Becchis and Lucas Ranciaro took a 7-6 (7-4) win over Filippo Scala and Luke Coppage. 

Javier Tortajada clinched the Atlantic Sun Conference win for the Governors in singles matches with his  6-3, 6-1 win over Luke Coppage on the sixth court. 

Bellarmine (6-9, 2-3 ASUN) defeated Eastern Kentucky 4-3 on March 30 at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. After earning the doubles point, the Knights took three singles wins for the win over the Colonels. 

This will be the second meeting of the Governors and the Knights, with the Knights leading the all-time series, 1-0. The two teams' first matchup was a 7-0 Bellarmine win on March 26, 2024, at the Governors Tennis Courts.
