CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – With kickoff of the 2025 Austin Peay football season just four days away, the Austin Peay Athletics Department, Five Star Radio Group, and Riverside Spine and Physical Medicine present the weekly Austin Peay Football Coaches Show with head coach Jeff Faris at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Skyline 500 on the top floor of Shelby's Trio in downtown Clarksville.
Faris joins host Kyle King, who is hosting the show for the first season, to look ahead at the Governors 2025 season which kicks off against Middle Tennessee with a 6 p.m., Saturday contest in Murfreesboro.
Preseason All-United Athletic Conference selections Chandler Kirton and Davion Hood also join this week's Austin Peay Football Coaches Show.
A 2024 Austin Peay graduate and the reigning UAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Kirton is a three-year letterwinner for the Governors and has started 35-straight contests on the offensive line, including all 12 games at center last season. On the other side of the line, Hood made 10 starts on the defensive line, while totaling 27 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and five quarterback hurries. His 2.5 sacks and seven TFLs were best for second and third on the team, respectively.
Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Kyle King every Wednesday at Skyline 500 at Shelby's Trio, which is in its first season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.
The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Skyline 500, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM), and is simulcast online.
If you miss the live airing of the Austin Peay Coaches Show on Wednesday, it will be re-aired on Saturday at 4 p.m. leading into the Governors Sports Network's pregame show, which begins an hour before kickoff.
