CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off a 49-point victory in its home opener last weekend, the Austin Peay Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group resent the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show with head coach Jeff Faris at 6 p.m., Wednesday, at Skyline 500 on the top floor of Shelby's Trio in downtown Clarksville.
Faris joins host Kyle King to look back at a 56-7 victory against Morehead State last Saturday at Fortera Stadium, while also looking ahead to a 7 p.m. contest on the road at Abilene Christian this Saturday in Abilene, Texas.
Quarterback Chris Parson and defensive back Ellis Ellis Jr. also join Faris and King on this week's Austin Peay Coaches Show.
The Governors' starter under center each of the first three games of the season, Parson is 38-for-57 with 492 yards and two touchdowns through the air to begin the season. Last weekend, he went 11-for-14 for 199 yards and a 60-yard rushing score in two quarters of action against Morehead State. Ellis Jr., who is coming off a four-tackle performance against Morehead State, leads APSU with 21 tackles and three pass breakups this season.
Head soccer coach Kim McGowan also will join this week's coaches show as her team prepares for the start of Atlantic Sun Conference play with a 6 p.m., Thursday match against Bellarmine at Morgan Bros. Field.
Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Kyle King every Wednesday at Skyline 500 at Shelby's Trio, which is in its first season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.
The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Skyline 500, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM), and is simulcast online.
If you miss the live airing of the Austin Peay Coaches Show on Wednesday, it will be re-aired on Saturday at 4 p.m. leading into the Governors Sports Network's pregame show, which begins an hour before kickoff.
