Rausch Announces 14 Additions to 2026-27 Roster

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University head women's lacrosse coach  Melissa Rausch announced 14 newcomers to the 2026-27 roster, Thursday. 

The Governors welcomes 12 true freshman, and two second year transfers, four Canadians and ten Americans. Georgia Turvolgyi hails from Oakville, Ontario, Sophie Barker come to the Governors from Whitby, Ontario, Katelyn and Dani Strong come to Austin Peay from Owen Sound Ontario and the University of Bridgeport. Rausch welcomes twins Maddy and Abby Turner from Colorado Springs, Colo., Taryn Satkowski from Montgomery, N.Y., and Natalia Viola from New Hartford, N.Y., Hadley Mills from North Tustin, Calif. and Mimi Westphal from Orinda, Calif., Ryley Dunn of Plymouth, Minn., Addyson Quinn of Ada, Mich., Abby Mulligan from Tampa, Fla., and Jayla Hill from right down the road in Nashville, Tenn. 

"Building a program does not stop after the inaugural season," Rausch said. "We have worked hard to find some of the best 2026's in the country to continue to build and develop Austin Peay into one of the top programs in the ASUN. This class and Dani Strong and Katlyn Strong are huge pieces in the continued effort to raise the level of play and level of competition." 

Rausch welcomes twins Dani and Katelyn Strong, sophomore midfield transfers from Bridgeport. Dani Strong started all 15 games, ranked third on the team in both goals (33) and points (35), totaling 28 draw controls, 23 ground balls, and 16 caused turnovers. Katelyn Strong started all 15 games, totaling 22 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers, with one goal and one assist. 

Turvolgyi earned Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year in 2026 and was named to the 1st All Start Team for Defense in 2026 and 2025. Turvolgyi was the 2026 Female Athlete of the Year for Oakville Trafalgar High School. Barker was a two-time OFSAA Champion in 2023 and 2026 and was a member of the All-Star Team in 2024 and 2026. Abby Turner and Maddy Turner attended IMG academy and were both four-year varsity starters, and two-year varsity captains with over five notable player awards each including all conference selections, and first team honors. 

Satkowski led Our Lady of Lourdes High School in career goals (246), assists (117), career points. Viola was the 2026 Tri Valley League Player of the Year, 2026 All Central New York 1st Team, 2026 New Hartford Lacrosse MVP, and 4x Tri Valley League 1st Team All Star. Viola holds her high school record for most points (238), goals (162), and assists (76). Mills was first team all-league and made two sectional appearances with two sectional wins in her career. Westphal was a four-year varsity member, a senior captain, and coaches award honoree. 

Mulligan earned all-conference first team her senior year and led the high school record for the most goals, points in a career, and season goals record with 131 goals and 168 points. Hill led the state of Tennessee in 2026 in ground balls (63) and points (38) and in 2025 in goals (37) and was also recognized as the Nashville early-season player of the year 2025-2026. Rounding out the roster is Dunn, who led Maple Grove Senior High in points and goals, with 250 career goals, and 340 career points. Dunn was a four time all conference player and all section first team. 

The Governors will continue fall preseason play with a Wofford play day Sunday, Oct. 4th with games against Lander at 8 a.m., Presbyterian at 10 a.m. and Wofford at 11a.m. in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
