CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University's volleyball team faces Abilene Christian and North Alabama for the second time in the 2026 season with a 6 p.m., Thursday match against Abeline Christian at home in the Winfield Dunn Center, and a 6 p.m., Friday match against North Alabama on the road.
Austin Peay (10-9, 2-4 United Athletic Conference) continues conference play after falling to North Alabama at home 3-2, Thursday, and dropping a road match to Eastern Kentucky 3-0, Tuesday. Previously in conference play, the Governors defeated Tarleton State 3-2 in the first home conference game (Oct. 3) and fell to Abeline Christian on the road 3-0. The Governors defeated Little Rock 3-1, (Sept. 24), and fell to Central Arkansas 3-2 (Sept. 26).
Abeline Christian (12-6, 4-2 UAC) is third overall in the conference. The Wildcats recently lost 3-0 against Tarleton State, Saturday.
North Alabama (14-5, 4-2 UAC), will play UT Arlington Oct. 15 at home before meeting the Govs. North Alabama is second in the conference with a recent 3-0 loss to Eastern Kentucky, Oct. 10.
The Governors and the Wildcats met for the first time this year, Oct. 1. The Governors are 2-11 against North Alabama and 0-5 on the road against the Lions.
Senior Reagan Anderson leads the UAC and ranks 15th in Division I with 30 service aces across 70 sets. Anderson also is 13th in the nation for digs per set (4.85). Austin Peay ranks 18th nationally in opposing hitting percent with .158 and 26th in total aces with 102.
Austin Peay leads the UAC in opponent hitting percent at .176, opponent assists with 10.76. The Governors lead the conference in attack percentage in five sets in their 3-2 win over Tarleton State with a .372 percent on 67 kills and 137 total attacks.
