JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior Austin Peay State University men's golfer Jack Dyer has been named United Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 15.
Dyer led the Govs to the best finish of the Easton Key era at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, finishing third overall to pace the Govs to runner-up honors as a team. The Paphos, Cyprus native's 54-hole 210 (73-71-66) included a career-best 66 in the final round, which included birdies on four of his first six holes.
Dyer tied for the tournament lead with 17 total birdies, including eight in the final round. He also birdied four of the last dozen holes he was able to complete before darkness brought Monday's second round to a truncated conclusion. Dyer's final-round 66 was part of a 12-under 276 for the Govs as a team, which was Austin Peay's best team round since the second round of the San Destin Classic on Sept. 23, 2025.
In the first individual rankings released by Scoreboard.com this week, Dyer ranked as the No. 178 player in Division I, the highest ranking for any player in the UAC.
This is the second weekly honor of Dyer's Austin Peay career; he was named ASUN Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of March 26, 2026 after a top-five finish at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate. He is the first Gov to earn UAC Men's Golfer of the Week honors.
Dyer and the Govs return to action next week, concluding the fall slate at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Blackthorn Club in Johnson City, Tennessee.
