Box Score Evansville, Ind. – Austin Peay State University's men's tennis earned its first win of the 2026 season with a 4-3 victory against Oakland City, Friday, at the Evansville Tennis Center.
In doubles, Rohan Loubser and Logan Tomovski defeated Jose Andres Perez Perez and Ramos 6-3. Vincent Lu and Glen Arnet fell to Chalpac and Saifi 7-5, while and Lucas Ranciaro and Bodi van Galen defeated Nivarlet and Rocha in a tiebreak match 7-6 (5) to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Tomovski earned the Governors their first singles points with a pair of 6-3 wins from the No. 3 position. After the Mighty Oaks earned their first point of the match following a win from the No. 6 singles position, Vincent Lu defeated his opponent 6-2, 0-6, 6-3 to give the Governors a 3-1 lead.
Following losses from the No. 1 and No. 5 positions, Felipe De La Hormaza clinched the win for Austin Peay after rallying back from a first-set loss to win his final two sets, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-4, respectively.
Up next, the Governors face the Drake, Saturday, in Evansville, Indiana.
