CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off its recent loss to Evansville on Thursday, Austin Peay State University's soccer team will travel to Murray, Kentucky, where the Governors face the Racers in a battle of the border, with kick off scheduled for 1 p.m., Sunday, at Cutchin Field.
Austin Peay (0-5-1) enters Sunday's match after playing to a 2-0 loss to Evansville on Thursday. Junior Paige Chrustowski led the Governors' offense in the contest, landing a shot on goal in her two attempts. Austin Peay was able to land two more shots on goal against the Purple Aces, coming from the feet of junior Ally Minestrella and senior Anna Drexel, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Murray State (0-4-2) returns home after its recent 0-0 draw at Marshall – the Racers' first shutout of the season. Despite being outshot 18-5 in the match, just two shots were on goal for The Herd, which were both brought in for saves by Griselda Revolorio, both coming in the first half.
