CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. – Austin Peay State University's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Murray State, Sunday, at Cutchin Field.

After a pair of Murray State attempts in the first four minutes of Sunday's game, Kayla Barr tallied the Govs' first of six first-half shots on goal in the sixth minute, but the Racers' Griselda Revolorio saved it. The Governors recorded five shots on net in the opening 19 minutes with both Barr and Abby Mathews accounting for a pair of the attempts. Defensively, the Govs kept the Racers off the board during the opening 45 minutes despite seven MSU corner kicks. Megan Waskiewicz also recorded four saves during the opening frame.
Murray State recorded its first goal of the second half in the 60th minute on a ball to the bottom right of the pipes, before extending the advance eight minutes later. The Racers then extended its lead to 3-0 on a free kick from a foot outside the box in the 84th minute.
