Career Recap: Austin Peay 
2023-2024 (Graduate Student)
A first team All-ASUN selection, Hale led the way for the Govs in points (426, 13.3 pg), field-goal percentage (61.3), free throw percentage (71.4), rebounds (237, 7.4 pg), blocks (38, 1.2 pg)... Scored double digits in 26 games, three of those being 20 point performances… Career high of 27 (11-11 FG) points came in the Govs win against Kennesaw State in the first round of the ASUN Tournament, March 8… Led the team with eight double-doubles, all coming in ASUN play… Played 32 games, making 20 starts… Had two consecutive double-doubles to open ASUN play, earning the Govs first ASUN Player of the Week honors… the  first Gov to earn a conference player of the week honor since Karle Pace was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, Feb. 8, 2022… 

2022-23 (Graduate Student)
A Second Team All-ASUN selection and the first player in program history to earn ASUN Sixth Player of the Year honors… First Governor since Whitney Hanley in 2012 to earn a conference championship all-tournament team selection after averaging 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 70 percent from the field in Austin Peay’s inaugural trip to the ASUN Conference Women’s Basketball Championship… Set the single-season program record in field-goal percentage, making 69.1 percent of her shots from the field… A two-time ASUN Newcomer of the Week, became the first Gov to earn a conference weekly honor in back-to-back weeks since Yamia Johnson during the 2021-22 season… Appeared in 26 games during her first year in Clarksville, earning one start… Led Austin Peay in scoring (320, 12.3 points per game), rebounds (127, 6.8 per game), field goal percentage (.691), blocks (16), made free throws (70), and attempted free throws (106)… Scored in double figures a team-best 16 times, including 13 times in ASUN action… Scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in her first game as a Gov at Vanderbilt, Nov. 17… Scored 16 points on 5-for-6 shooting against Illinois-Chicago, Nov. 23, in the Hostilo Hoops Community Classic… Her performance against the Flames also sparked a season-ending streak of 23-straight games of making at least 50 percent of her shots from the field… Also recorded at least a 66.6 field-goal percentage in nine of her last 12 games of the season… Led Austin Peay with four double-doubles… Scored in double figures in six-straight games, Jan. 12-28, beginning with a 20-point, 10-rebounds double-double against Jacksonville State… Knocked down a then-career-high seven free throws in a 19-point, 13-rebound effort against Queens, Jan. 28… After having her six-game streak of scoring at least 10 points come to an end following a six-point, six rebound game at Bellarmine, Feb. 2, ended the season with double figures in 8-of-9 games… Scored 19 points and hauled in 12 rebounds in just 20 minutes of action at Stetson, Feb. 16… Scored a career-high 23 points, while matching her season’s best mark with 13 rebounds in 19 minutes to lead the Govs to an ASUN Conference Women’s Basketball Quarterfinals win against Eastern Kentucky, March 5. Also sunk a career-best nine free throws on 10 attempts against the Colonels… Finished ninth in ASUN play with 49 free throws, eight of which came on converted and-one opportunities.

Career Recap: Wright State
Appeared in 61 games in four years at Wright State… Averaged 6.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and a 61.9 field-goal percentage during her career in Dayton, Ohio… Named the 2019-20 Horizon League Freshman of the Year  after averaging 8.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.. Appeared in all 27 games as a redshirt sophomore with 5.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 59 percent from the floor. 

Career Recap: Crete-Monee High School
Named an all-state honorable mention as a senior at Crete-Monee High School after averaging  18 points, 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game under head coach Edward Ivory.

Shamarre Aylissa Montet’ Hale is the daughter of Ara Portwood… Has five siblings: Miracole, Skylar, Christian Hale, Cheyenne, Christian Cope… Born Aug. 10.
