As a redshirt sophomore in 2008 ? Clement appeared in 18 contests... batted .273 with three RBI... in OVC play, he batted .250 with an RBI... had three consecutive hits... was 1-for-1 with an RBI double in series finale against Tennessee Martin, May 4... followed that with 2-for-2, two RBI outing against Middle Tennessee, May 5... appeared as a late sub in six of the Govs final eight regular season contests.

As a sophomore redshirt in 2007 ? Clement received a redshirt.

As a freshman in 2006 ? Clement competed in 13 games, starting one game at shortstop... against Freed-Hardeman, March 23, had his first collegiate hit, a two-run home run in the Govs 14-8 win ? ironically, Clement missed the bunt sign given prior to the pitch... picked up his season’s third RBI in the Govs 14-6 win against Memphis on March 28.

Under head coach Jimmy Gaylor, Clement played second base and shortstop... had fourth most walks in Tennessee in 2004, recording 34 base on balls as a senior... named All-Blount County as a junior after hitting seven home runs ? including three in one game ? finishing the season with 31 RBI, posting a team-best .339 batting average, stealing 18 bases and scoring 41 times... also was 4-1 on the mound with a 3.07 ERA... a two-sport athlete, played football and was a member of 2002 Class 4A champions, playing behind brother Russell at cornerback, and was a starter on 2004 Class 4A championship squad... was named second-team Associated Press All-State selection as a defensive back and Tennessee Sportswriters Association first-team 4A defensive back selection that season... also was a AP All-State honorable mention seclection as a wide receiver in 2003.
