Hunton appeared in 13 contests, starting 11 times as designated hitter and twice at first base...  batted .264 with 10 RBI and three home runs (53 AB)... in conference play, he batted .323 with three home runs (31 AB)... recorded first APSU hit, March 2, against Illinois State... entered series opener against Morehead State as a pinch hitter and went 2-for-3 with 5 RBI, including a two-run and three-run home run... finished Morehead State series as starting DH in Games 2 and 3 and was 4-for-9 with 7 RBI in series... was 2-for-4 with home run and two RBI in UTM series opener, May 3... was pinch hitter in three of Govs final four regular-season contests, going 2-for-3... went 1-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base in opening-game of OVC tournament against Tennessee Tech.

Under head coach Mitch Hannahs played first base... was a member of back-to-back Great Rivers Athletic Conference champions (2006 and 2007)... was a member of 2007 All-GRAC team and NJCAA Region XXIV all-tournament team... batted .378 as a sophomore with 12 doubles, seven home runs and a team-best 46 RBI... as a freshman, batted .307 with four doubles, four home runs and 29 RBI.

Brooks Hunton is the son of Bill and Ruthann Hunton... born Oct. 7, 1986... has three older brothers: Brett (30), Bart (26) and Brock (25)... majoring in health and human performance... played his prep career at Dublin Coffman High School... father played at Austin Peay in 1970 as an infielder... brother Brett played collegiately at Jacksonville... brother Bart (catcher) was drafted in 2001 out of high school by Cincinnati Reds, played collegiately at Urbana... brother Brock (pitcher) was drafted in 2002 out of high school by Boston Red Sox, played collegiately at Central Missouri.
