Missed season’s first 10 games due to NCAA transfer rules… became eligible at first semester’s end… averaged 3.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in 21 games… after some early starts provided valuable relief up front to starters Nicole Jamen and Jasmine Rayner… made debut, Dec. 20, against Pittsburgh… inserted into starting lineup and responded with six points, going 2-for-9 from floor, with six rebounds in 30 minutes… also had two blocks and two steals in contest… also started against Xavier, responding with eight points in just 13 minutes… started against UAB, scoring six points… eased into reserve role as January rolled around and OVC season resumed… chalked up first career double-figure scoring game with 10 points, Jan. 7, against UT Martin… finished 4-of-10 from floor while grabbing season-high eight rebounds… also had two assists and two steals in contest… two days later finished with three blocked shots in only 10 minutes against Murray State… week later against Tennessee State scuffled offensively (1-of-8 from floor) but grabbed five rebounds… after struggling at Tennessee Tech, Jan. 21, bounced back with five rebounds and two blocked shots in next outing versus Jacksonville State, Jan. 23… at UT Martin, Feb. 4, played only five minutes but grabbed five re bounds… played 17 minutes off bench in Lady Govs’ loss at Tennessee State, Feb. 13… finished with six points and team-best seven rebounds… played most minutes since Pitt game with 25 at Eastern Illinois, Feb. 25, finishing with seven points and seven rebounds… .came right back with seven more points two nights later against Southeast Missouri…in OVC tourney opener against Tennessee Tech, came off bench to score 10 points—her career’s second double-digit performance—on 4-of-6 shooting… also blocked two shots in game… played four minutes against Morehead State in OVC tourney semifinals until elbow to face knocked her out for game’s remainder… in OVC title game against Eastern Illinois failed to score in three minutes.

Prior to Austin Peay (2007-09)
At Western Kentucky, Thomas played in 35 career games through 1½ seasons before leaving the program at end of Fall 2008 semester… averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.1 minutes per game… as a freshman, scored four points – her first collegiate points – off the bench against Notre Dame, Nov. 13… scored three points and grabbed five rebounds against Morehead State, Nov. 27… posted career highs in both points (eight) and rebounds (seven) against Florida Atlantic, March 1… as a sophomore, scored three points in season opener against Murray State, Nov. 14.

PREP CAREER
At Hazelwood East High School under head coach Terry Creamer, Thomas averaged 11.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game as a senior… was a member of two state tournament squads, including a state runner-up finish in 2007… scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds in that 2007 Class 5 Championship game against Liberty… team finished in fourth place her junior season… earned first-team Suburban North League honors twice during career and was a second-team all-state honoree by the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association as a senior.
