Biography

2009-10 (Junior)
Provided solid play at point guard during OVC tourney…offered little bit of everything during Lady Govs run to title… in tourney opener against Tennessee Tech, scored four field goals for eight points to go along with four assists, five rebounds, a block and steal… followed that up with six points, knocking down a pair of three pointers, and grabbing season-best seven rebounds against Morehead State… then tallied 10 points in OVC title game against Eastern Illinois… buried an early second-half three pointer to give APSU a nine-point lead and then late in game knocked down two key free throws… her 10-point effort in OVC title game was her 10th double-figure performance of season… endured inconsistencies during season… opened year as backcourt starter but after three games moved into reserve role… scored 10 points against UAB… moved back into starting lineup to open OVC season in early December… opened OVC play by scoring 34 points over two games, including seven three pointers… knocked down 14 points, going 5-of-8 from floor, against Southeast Missouri in league opener… opened game against SEMO by knocking down four straight three pointers… scored career-best 20 points, going 7-of-13 from the field, against Eastern Illinois… but could not maintain performance level… struggled against both UALR and Troy, slipping back into reserve role for next 1½ months, except for back-to-back starts to open 2010 at Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky… came off bench to score 15 points, including a trio of three pointers, against Murray State, Jan. 9… but failed to score in back-to-back games against Tennessee State, Jan. 14, and Tennessee Tech, Jan. 21… finally rejoined starting lineup Jan. 28 against Eastern Kentucky, scoring nine points, and remained as starter for season’s remainder… earned spot by scoring 19 points, including career-best five three pointers against Jacksonville State, Jan. 23… also had six rebounds and two steals during game… during February, averaged 6.9 points and 2.6 assists per game… battled through sparse scoring night at Tennessee Martin (seven points), Feb. 4, but had four assists and two steals… on Feb. 6, handed out career-high seven assists at Murray State, the most by a Lady Gov this season… scored 10 points on last three Saturdays of regular-season, including 10 points and six rebounds at Southeast Missouri, Feb. 27… also scored 10 points against Tennessee State, Feb. 13, and Tennessee Tech, Feb. 20… did not record an assist at TSU, ending five-game stretch with an assist.

2008-09 (Sophomore Transfer)
Started 16 of 25 games played… averaged 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game… scored double digits seven times and made two or more three pointers 10 times… after gaining eligibility at first semester’s end, she scored nine points – all on three pointers – against SIU Edwardsville… in her second game against Middle Tennessee, she matched her then-career scoring high with 11 points, going 4-of-9 from the floor… Faulkner earned first start against Alabama grabbing seven rebounds while scoring just two points… she returned to reserve role for next six games before knocking down career-high 17 points at Murray State, connecting on 5-of-10 shots, including a trio of three pointers… moved back into the starting lineup for the season’s remainder, except for Feb. 21 road tilt at Tennessee Tech… in APSU home contest against Golden Eagles, scored nine points to go with career-best 10 rebounds in 49 minutes of a double-overtime victory… two nights later, scored 14 points, going 5-of-10 from the floor (three three-point field goals) in win against Jacksonville State… her 11.5 ppg scoring average and 6.5 rpg earned her OVC Newcomer of the Week honors… scored 11 points in home win against UT Martin before seemingly joining other Lady Govs backcourters in going into a collective slump… over next games, averaged just 5.5 ppg while shooting just 32.3 percent from the floor… rediscovering her shooting touch in time for OVC tournament… opened tourney play by scoring 14 points, including going 4-for-7 from three-point range, and dishing out four assists to help lead Lady Govs to road win at Morehead State, March 3… in OVC tourney semifinals against Murray State, Faulkner scored 11 points while pulling down seven rebounds in upset win of No. 1 seed… then in OVC championship game, played all 50 minutes of double overtime contest, scoring nine points but also supplying strong defense… finished tournament averaging 11.3 ppg and 6.7 rpg while committing just four turnovers… scored three points in NCAA Tournament appearance against Duke while also recording a blocked shot and steal.

PRIOR TO AUSTIN PEAY (2006-08)
At Western Kentucky, Faulkner played in 31 career contests, through 1½ seasons before leaving the program at end of Fall 2007 semester… received a redshirt following the 2007-08 campaign after playing six games off the bench… averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11 minutes per game… came off bench to score 10 points and grab six rebounds against Morehead State, Nov. 27… opened her career in 2006-07 campaign at Vanderbilt, Nov. 16, making a field goal in two minutes of action… scored eight points in 12 minutes against South Alabama, Dec. 17, finishing 3-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point range… first career double-digit scoring effort came against Florida Atlantic, Feb. 15, scoring 11 points and grabbing five rebounds in 29 minutes.

PREP CAREER
At Harrison County High School under head coach Mac Whitaker, Faulkner was named to the all-state team five times and was twice selected Region 10 Player of the Year… finished her career with 2,658 points… was one of eight Kentucky players all-time to finish with more than 300 career three-point field goals… averaged 19.3 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior… named second-team all-state by both the Louisville Courier Journal and Lexington Herald Leader after senior campaign… was a member of 2006 Kentucky All-Star Team… averaged 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game as a junior and was a second-team all-state selection by the Louisville Courier Journal… a two-sport athlete, was a four-time letterwinner as a volleyball player.
