Looking Ahead to 2009-10: Expected to provide more quality minutes in fourth APSU season...will be counted on in think frontcourt situation...has battled injury problems much of his career...when healthy, aggressive player on offensive end… long-armed youngster possesses both offensive and defensive potential…working on improving inside game…impressed staff as freshman with perimeter potential, but struggled with it a year ago...has innate offensive rebounding ability...has gained bulk and strength since arriving as freshman but must continue working on improving strength...also must become more consistent on defensive end.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2008-09: Played in 27 of 33 games a year ago, averaging 6.9 minutes per game...played double-digit minutes on nine occasions...averaged 1.9 ppg and 1.7 rpg per game...provided early season spark by providing 16 quality second-half minutes at Belmont, scoring five points, including his season's only three pointer...also grabbed five rebounds in Govs' comeback victory...played 10 minutes against Lambuth, scoring four points, collecting three rebounds and blocking one shots...tallied career's first double-figure scoring game at SEMO, knocking down 10 points while also grabbing four rebounds...despite early foul trouble, grabbed a career-high seven rebounds at home against Belmont...accumulated six points and four rebounds against Oakland City....in win at Tennessee State in mid-January totalled seven points, including a two-handed dunk...struggled offensively season's remainder, scoring just six points over 11 outings...did garner four rebounds in overtime loss at Eastern Kentucky in late January.
As a sophomore redshirt in 2007-08: Hand injury slowed progress in preseason practice...played sparingly in early going because of hand problems...failed to score in five games...did grab season-best three rebounds at Memphis...however, just prior to home Morehead State game in early December, re-injured hand....it was then decided to seek medical redshirt.
As a freshman in 2006-07: Late signee was expected to be redshirt candidate...in fact, sat for the first three games...however, his strong play in practice coupled with other inconsistent post play caused APSU to rescind the redshirt...scored eight points, including a pair of three pointers, against Tennessee Wesleyan in his debut...also had six rebounds in contest...hit a pair of key buckets against Tennessee Tech...also had four points and a trio of rebounds against Marian...had two points and rebound in two minutes against UT Martin...came off bench to provide quality minutes at SEMO, including key second-half bucket...played 14 minutes off bench against Eastern Illinois, scoring five points...played in 22 games total, averaging 2.1 ppg...17 of 27 rebounds were on offensive board.
In high school: Played center and power forward for Johnny Jones at Lansing Everett High School… averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks per game as a senior… also was a 78 percent free-throw shooter… team captain… honorable mention all-conference… rated one of Michigan's top 100 players… played at same high school that spawned Magic Johnson.
