In high school: Played guard for Ted Young at Clarksville High School...Class AAA Mr. Basketball Finalist led Wildcats to state tournament for second straight season...averaged 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game as senior...scored game-high 19 points in 51-50 loss to eventual state champ Ridgeway in 2008 state quarterfinals...earned second straight Class AAA All-State Tournament honor....selected first-team All-State for second straight season as well as third straight Tennessean All-Midstate honors...nominated for McDonald's All-America team...three-time Leaf-Chronicle Player of the Year...two-time District 10-AAA MVP...was four-time all-district selection as well as three-time All-Region pick...scored more than 2,000 career points and left Clarksville High as its career assist leader...as junior, averaged 18.7 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor...led Clarksville High to state title game...scored five points in the final four seconds to send game into second overtime...scored 22 of his 26 points that night in the fourth quarter and overtime periods... as sophomore average 15.0 points per game to earn District MVP honors...started as freshman and earned both all-district and All-Leaf-Chronicle.
