Biography

Looking ahead to 2011-12: Again expected to provide frontcourt depth...expected to battle Will Triggs for starting spot at forward...spent most of summer months in Clarksville, working in weight room to gain more bulk and strength...also worked on improving overall game...lanky athlete who owns great quickness...versatile performer...long-armed individual who can post up or face up to basket...aggressive on both ends of the floor and is considered basketball strong...has ability to put ball on floor and get to rim...will seek to gain greater consistency with perimeter game...considered to have tremendous ability to get into passing lanes on defensive end...must also continue to learn to avoid foul issue...joined Govs program during late in 2010 summer, preventing him from working in Govs' offseason workout regimen.

As a junior in 2010-11: Needed time to acclimate from junior college to Division I level...effects of more physical game were noticeable in numbers...in games prior to New Year's, averaged 9.4 ppg, shooting 50.9 percent from the floor while grabbing 3.9 rpg...in 2011 portion of schedule, averaged just 4.2 ppg, shooting only 38.2 percent from floor, while grabbing only 2.8 rpg in those 18 contest...opened season as starter, in fact, starting 23 games...came off bench in season's final month...recorded eight double-figure scoring games, including pair of double-doubles...blocked two or more shots in game on five occasions...foul troubles plagued him much of season's first half...owned key blocked shot with 17 seconds left at St. Louis, setting up game-winning possession...scored six points in 12 foul-plagued minutes...played 23 minutes at Chattanooga, scoring eight points, grabbing four rebounds and blocking two shots...despite fouling out, recorded first double-figure scoring game with 14 points at Lipscomb...came off the bench at SIU, scoring nine points and pulling down four rebounds...was back in starting lineup at Purdue, scoring eight points...foul issues limited him to 17 minutes against Charleston Southern in second round of Chicago Invitational Challenge...foul problems also dogged him against Oakland, fouling out, but not after recording second double-figure scoring effort with 10 points...foul woes again limited him to 13 minutes at both Southeast Missouri and Eastern Illinois in the OVC-opening weekend...scored then-season high 16 points on 7-10 FG shooting against Fontbonne while also grabbing team-high seven rebounds... played first APSU game without committing a foul...followed that performance with 17 points, including two 3FGs, and 11 rebounds in 39 minutes at Memphis...also had three steals and two blocked shots in game...third-straight double-figure game came in blowout of Eastern Kentucky where he scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots...posted second career double-double with a career-high 19 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with season-high five assists in overtime win against Morehead State...tallied eight points and had four rebounds against Chattanooga to go along with two blocks and two assists...struggled from the floor at Murray State, making 4-11 FGs, but finished with nine points...scored in double figures (14 points) against Tennessee State for first time in five games...tallied eight points against Tennessee Tech, including 4-4 FTs...pulled five rebounds to go with seven points against Jacksonville State...battled illness, forcing him to come off bench at Eastern Kentucky...scored four points all on free throws...returned to starting lineup at Morehead State, scored eight points in 23 minutes...got into foul trouble against UT Martin, but scored 10 points in 14 minutes, making it his first double-figure scoring game in five outings...was shifted to reserve role at Tennessee Tech...struggled with off-the-bench status, scoring just 13 points in next six games...came to life in first-round OVCV tourney contest, scoring eight points on 3-5 FGs...also had five rebounds in 16 minutes...scored four points on 2-2 FGs at Boise State in CBI contest.

In junior college:  As a sophomore for Dennis Helms, Baker earned Western Junior College Athletic Association honors after averaging 6.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game on a 23-8 Odessa College team where no player averaged more than 22 minutes per game...entered 2009-10 rated as one of the Top-120 junior college sophomores by the Mullens Scouting Service... as freshman averaged 7.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per outing for the Wranglers.

In high school: As prep senior for Jeff Evans, helped lead powerhouse Palo Duro to 33-1 record, including 31 straight before losing one game shy of state tourney...averaged 17 points and 8.0 rebounds per game...named first-team all-district and all-region team...also selected most valuable player of the Golden Spread All-Star game...selected to the Amarillo Globe News Super Team...considered high-major college prospect out of high school according to ESPN and Scouts, Inc...

Personal: Broadcast media major with an art minor....son of Patria Osouha and Mary Campbell...mother ran track in college...born Oct. 20, 1989...age 22.
