Played in all 33 games, starting 29, and led Lady Govs –ranking fifth among OVC players – in rebounding (7.7 rpg) and finished second in scoring (10.5 ppg)… was inconsistent in season’s first half before joining classmate Whitney Hanley in February surge that pushed Lady Govs up in standings… finished conference play averaging 10.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game… did not start in season’s first two games, scoring eight points at Purdue, Nov. 12, and 12 points against Middle Tennessee, Nov. 16… joined starting lineup in WNIT regional rounds and numbers continued to improve… scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Valparaiso, Nov. 19… followed with season-high 21 points, eight rebounds and four steals against Utah Valley, Nov. 20… lost starting job after back-to-back foul-ridden outings held her to six total points… scored 16 points off bench at Southern Illinois State, Nov. 28… would not score more than 13 points in next 12 games despite returning to starting lineup… posted season’s first double-double against Lipscomb, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds… scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds – her second double-double – against Morehead State, Dec. 21… had one half or the other of a double-double in next four games, just falling short of a double-double each time… grabbed 15 rebounds, including nine offensive grabs, in Dec. 30 contest at Duquesne, but scored eight points… had a three-game stretch of double-digit scoring with a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double effort against Tennessee Tech, Jan. 20, sandwiched in the middle… despite the 16 points, shot 5-of-13 from the field, the start of a seven-game shooting slump during which she made 22-of-60 (36.6 percent) field goals… free-throw shooting helped start eight-game double-digit scoring streak… made 6-of-7 from free-throw stripe to finish with 12 points against Murray State, Feb. 5, to start stretch… broke shooting slump with 7-of-15 shooting effort at Jacksonville State, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds for season’s fourth double-double… one week later posted season’s fifth double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds against Eastern Illinois… opened OVC tournament with two impressive performances… scored 15 points, on 7-of-11 field-goal shooting, and grabbed seven rebounds against Murray State, March 2… improved in next game with 17 points, on 6-of-10 field goal shooting and a 5-of-7 free-throw effort, and eight rebounds against Eastern Illinois, March 3… held to nine points on 2-of-9 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds against Tennessee Tech, March 4, in third game in as many days… averaged 13.7 points, making 60 percent of field goals, and 7.3 rebounds per game in tourney action.
2009-10 (SOPHOMORE)
Scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds in NCAA Tournament contest at Tennessee… recorded double-doubles in both the OVC semifinals against Morehead State (20 points, 11 rebounds) and the championship game versus Eastern Illinois (12 points, 10 rebounds)… capped season that saw young post player develop into reliable performer, including recording nine double-doubles… enters NCAA tournament averaging 10.5 points (15th best in OVC) and 7.3 rebounds (sixth best in OVC) per game… her 48 percent shooting ranks fourth best in league… after alternating between starting and coming off bench, finally moved into starting lineup permanently in early January… in final 17 games as starter, averaged 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game… also shot much-improved 66 percent from free-throw line after moving into starting lineup after shooting only 50 percent in season’s first 14 games… showed glimpses of promise in season’s first half… season got off to slow start as she reached double-digit scoring territory just once in season’s first 10 games… scored single digits in first five games but grabbed seven rebounds against Lipscomb (Nov. 17) and Vanderbilt (Nov. 27)… after making second career start against Vandy, started next day as well against Northwestern State…responded with first career double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing career-high 17 rebounds… failed to record double figures in either scoring or rebounding in next four starts, although did have nine rebounds in road loss at Troy, Dec. 12… returned to preferred reserve duty for next five games… during stretch notched three straight double-figure games, including double-double (then-career high 21 points, 12 rebounds) against Pittsburgh… named OVC Co-Player of the Week for her efforts against Pitt… in that game went 5-of-7 from the floor while nailing career-high 11 free throws… followed that up with 15-point performance (7-of-10 field goals) against Xavier in game she fouled out in just 23 minutes… then scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds against UAB, Dec. 30… in three-game stretch went a combined 17 of 24 (70.8 percent) from floor… continued to come off bench as Lady Govs resumed OVC play… but after consecutive league road losses, was re-inserted into starting lineup for good… began streak of six consecutive double-figure scoring performances with 10 points and five rebounds in home win against UT Martin, Jan. 7… then tallied 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Murray State two days later… in Lady Govs’ home win against Tennessee State, Jan. 14, made it two straight double-doubles with 21 points, including 9-of-11 at free-throw line, and 12 rebounds… scored 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting, while grabbing seven rebounds in road loss at Tennessee Tech, Jan. 21… tallied 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in road victory at Jacksonville State… scoring average rose above 10 points per game for first time in career after that effort… then followed it up with career-high 22 points, going 9-of-17 from floor, while grabbing 15 rebounds in home win against Eastern Kentucky, Jan. 28… also had five steals in game… recorded season’s sixth double-double by scoring 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in key road victory at Murray State… scored 15 points in home win against Jacksonville State, Feb. 18, before recording 17 points and nine rebounds in come-from-behind win against Tennessee Tech… notched double-double (14 points, 14 rebounds) in road loss at Eastern Illinois… despite scoring three points in season finale at Southeast Missouri, averaged 10.1 points and team-best 8.4 rebounds per game in February.
2008-09 (FRESHMAN)
Played in 33 games, starting twice… averaged 4.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game… after some inconsistent early season performances, Rayner scored eight points on four-of-five shooting in Lady Govs win at Elon… two days later, she came off bench to score 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting against North Carolina… also grabbed season-high nine rebounds in 28 minutes to earn OVC Freshman of the Week honors… became pivotal player off the bench during the season’s second half… in fact, during the OVC’s final nine contests, averaged 7.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and hit 50 percent of her field-goal attempts – all above her season averages in those categories… she averaged 15.8 minutes per game and made one start during that stretch… overall, played in all 18 OVC contests, averaging 4.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in 13.6 minutes per contest… in one four-game stretch, scored 32 points, including nine-point outings at Morehead State and at home against Murray State… with starter Nicole Jamen out with illness, earned home start against Tennessee State… finished with 12 points and six rebounds… finished season scoring six or more points on 13 different occasions… saw limited action in the OVC tourney, playing total of 20 minutes… Rayner played 11 minutes off bench against Morehead State and grabbed five rebounds while scoring four points… in OVC championship game, she completed key three-point first-half play to help give the Lady Govs an early lead… tied for team lead with six rebounds against Duke in NCAA Tournament contest.
PREP CAREER
At Memphis Northside High School under head coach Donald Holmes, Rayner was a member of the Memphis Commercial Appeal Class AAA Best of Preps team as a senior… was ranked among Top 25 Tennessee Prospects in 2007-08 by Rick Bolus… as a junior, led Memphis’ Northside High School to the Class AAA State Final where they lost to Riverside High School… en route to the final, the Lady Cougars knocked off Clarksville’s Northeast High School in the semifinals a game in which she scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds… averaged 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds during the 2006-07 state tournament’s three games… named to the Class AAA All-State Tournament team and was a 2006-07 Tennessee Sportswriters Association Class AAA All-State team selection.

Jasmine Mone’ Rayner is the daughter of Lesia and James Rayner… born Oct. 18… has three sisters: Brittany, Aleisha and Kiana.
