Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2014 – Before a season-ending elbow injury, struck out seven through 7.1 innings in first two Friday starts of the season… Redshirted the 2014 season after having “Tommy John” surgery.
As a junior transfer in 2013 – Began season with midweek start and eventually moved into No. 1 starter role… Compiled an 8-2 record and 4.53 ERA in 19 appearances, striking out 66 in 89.1 innings… Govs were 12-3 in his 15 starts… Posted a 4-0 mark and 4.66 ERA in six OVC starts… Picked up first victory in first start, Feb. 19, at Middle Tennessee, allowing two runs in five innings… First OVC win came against Belmont, April 12, with then-career high six strikeouts in 6.1 innings… Struck out career-high seven batters in eight innings at UT Martin, May 10… Carried no-hitter into the sixth against SIUE, May 16, ultimately scattering two hits and striking out five in six innings before weather delay forced him out of game… Won OVC Tournament opener against Eastern Kentucky, May 23, allowing three runs in 7.1 innings and striking out six… Made start in NCAA Bloomington Regional opener against Florida, May 31, limiting Gators to two runs in 5.1 innings, but did not receive decision in Govs come-from-behind win… Made relief outing in regional final against Indiana, June 2, allowing two unearned runs in 1.1 innings.
Career Recap: Parkland College
Pitched for head coach Matt Kennedy… As a sophomore posted 7-3 record and 3.65 ERA… Made 12 appearances and struck out 64 batters over 66.2 innings… Was a second-team All-Midwest Athletic Conference selection… Posted win in elimination contest of Region 24 tournament, tossing seven scoreless innings and allowing only two hits while striking out eight… Received NJCAA Academic Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement and was a Midwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team pick… As a freshman was 6-1 with 4.11 ERA, recording 44 strikeouts in 50.1 innings pitched to lead team to NJCAA Region 24 semifinals.

Was an outfielder and pitcher for head coach Jesse Bugger… School won two sectional championships during his career… Set school’s record for strikeouts in a season with 114 strikeouts as a senior… Was a first-team all-conference pick as a pitcher and second-team all-conference selection in the outfield as a senior.

Zachary David Hall is the son of Jim and Sheila Hall… Born Nov. 20… Has one brother, Trevor… Graduated in May 2014 with bachelor’s degree in health and human performance… Working towards master’s degree in health and human performance with an emphasis in health leadership.
