In high school: Played guard/forward for Al Cooper at Northeast High School...named The Leaf-Chronicle All-Area MVP...averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as senior after averaging 17 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists as junior...three-time all-district selection as well as all-area... earned two-time All-State recognition, although was inadvertent omission from 2005 team... recorded triple-double (17 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists) in East-West All-Star game in leading the East to victory... selected to nine all-tourney teams while in high school...was named to 20 AAU all-tourney basketball teams during his career... selected as Sleeper of the Year by Rick Bolus Recruiting Service, ranking him as state's 13th best prospect prior to his senior season... was considered major Division I receiver prospect before giving up sport to concentrate on basketball.
