As a redshirt sophomore in 2005-06: After starting first six games, settled into off-the-bench role...did start one more game when center Zac Schlader was out with an infection...as starter, recorded back-to-back nine rebound outings at South Padre Island...had 11 points and nine rebounds against Delaware State...had career's first double-figure rebounding game at Tennessee Tech with 10...recorded back-to-back 10-point efforts against Eastern Kentucky and East Tennessee...went seven straight games without connecting for double figures before tallying 15 points on six-of-seven shooting at home against Tennessee Tech...also had eight rebounds in contest...followed that up with first career double-double by scoring 11 points and grabbing 16 rebounds against UT Martin...grabbed 10 rebounds in following game at Chattanooga...scored 10 points at Samford and at home in back-to-back games against Murray State and Tennessee State...scored 14 points on six-of-eight shooting at Eastern Kentucky...finished season as Govs' leading rebounder (5.4 rpg) and fourth-leading scorer...led team in rebounds 14 times...
As a sophomore redshirt in 2004-05: Granted medical redshirt after foot stress fracture ended season prematurely after just three games... missed much of preseason with foot injury... was cleared to play in Virgin Islands... played 18 minutes in season opener against Saint Louis... scored then-career-high 11 points against Eastern Michigan, coming off bench... earned first career start against Winthrop... suffered right foot stress fracture (diagnosed 11/26/04) and missed rest of 2004 games ...
As a freshman in 2003-04: Proved to be valuable reserved during season’s first half... averaged almost 10 minutes per game in campaign’s first 10 games,... scored seven points off bench at MTSU... had at least one offensive rebound in six of his first eight games...had five total boards in that game, the same amount he recorded in the next game at Middle Tennessee...once OVC season started, saw playing time diminish... failed to see action in four straight league games at start of conference play... scored four points against Tennessee-Martin as his best OVC scoring performance... saw 11 minutes of action in Bracket Buster game at Wichita State... played sparingly in OVC tourney and NIT games...
In high school: Forward for Dan Bell at Bob Jones High School... as senior, averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game in helping lead team to Class 6A state title contest... earned first-team All-Metro Huntsville, all-region and second-team All-State as senior.
