Biography

Looking ahead to 2008-09:  Again expected to provide leadership to Governors lineup...moved into starting lineup as freshman and has been starter for almost remaining part of career....glue-type individual whose numbers belie his contributions...hard-nosed performer brings defensive mindset to floor, using his great athleticism and wingspan to smother opponents...plays with terrific passion on both ends of floor...also brings solid offensive game to court...streak shooter who became effective three-point shooter in 2007-08, setting APSU record for single-season three-point shooting percentage (55.1 percent) despite unorthodox shooting style...also has improved free-throw shooting...uses athletic ability and aggressiveness to attack basket... for first time in three years didn't have to spend summer rehabilitating from offseason knee surgery...however, remained in Clarksville continuing to not only work on games but also on conditioning, improving strength.

As a junior in 2007-08: Extensive and thorough offseason rehab program brought talented wing back a month ahead of schedule from significant left knee surgery (anterious cruciate tear)...was expected to miss season's first month of practice but was there from Day 1...dropped more than 10 pounds leading up to season's start...started all but four games during junior season...got off to slow start before scoring 13 points against Florida Gulf Coast during South Padre Island Invitational...it was first double-digit scoring performance since Dec. 2006...ended season with nine double-digit scoring performances, including season-best 16 points against Tennessee State, Feb. 2...went 5-of-6 from the floor in game while collecting three steals...also grabbed season-high eight rebounds...also had 15 points in Govs' overtime win at UT Martin while grabbing seven rebounds...tallied 13 points against Eastern Kentucky in OVC tourney opener, matching his career best with a trio of three pointers...went perfect 3-for-3 from floor in OVC tourney semifinal win against UT Martin before producing standout defense in championship game...shut down All-OVC guard Bruce Price in title game, holding standout guard to just three points...led OVC in three-point shooting...made at least one three pointer in 27 games, including two against Texas in NCAA Regional.

As a sophomore in 2006-07:  After comeback from offseason knee surgery and other medical troubles, got off to slow start...scored only two points through the first three games before recording seven against Tennessee Wesleyan...came up with eight points and five rebounds at Morehead State....tallied six points at Memphis and seven against Evansville before carding only four against Middle Tennessee....broke loose against Marian, connecting on five-of-eight field goals, including his first two three pointers, for season-best 12 points....scored four points and grabbed four rebounds (three offensive) in only 11 minutes against UT Martin, sitting out all of second half with hip pointer...sealed OT win at Eastern Illinois with pair of free throws in closing seconds...had solid effort against SEMO, scoring eight points to go with team-best eight rebounds...collected seven points and three steals at UT Martin...was perfect from floor (3-3) against Samford and had five rebounds...had six rebounds and produced outstanding defensive performance against Samford’s Randall Gulina in Govs road game in Birmingham....was on way to outstanding game at Tennessee Tech, going four-of-five from floor and scoring nine points before being injured...finished season averaging 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

As a freshman in 2005-06: Moved into starting lineup in Game 7 with fellow freshman Drake Reed and never relinquished it...developed into team's defensive stopper...scored eight points in first game as starter against Morehead State...before knocking down career’s first double-figure contest against Eastern Kentucky when he scored 12 points on five-of-seven shooting...also had seven rebounds in contest...was perfect six-for-six from floor, including two three pointers against UT Martin for career-high 18 points...scored nine points and delivered three assists while blocking two shots at home against SEMO... also helped to hold OVC leading scorer Roy Booker to just 5-of-20 from the floor...had 10 points on four-of-five shooting against Tennessee State...collected career's first double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds at home against Samford...was perfect six-for-six from the line...also had 10 rebounds at Eastern Kentucky before fouling out in game's final minutes...finished seasons averaging 5.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

In high school:  Played guard/forward for Scott White at Ben Davis High School... averaged 15 points, eight rebounds per game as a senior along with 2.5 steals... selected first-team All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference... also honorable mention Marion County... named by Hoosier Magazine as one of Indiana’s Top 100 as well as one of High Potential Recruiting Top 40 seniors... played on the Indiana Select AAU team as well as for the county team in the Jermaine O’Neal Super Shootout.

Personal:  Sociology major with plans to work with young people after graduation...son of Charles and Yvonne Duncan... born Sept. 24, 1986... age 22.
