Biography

2009: Played in 10 games, starting eight, as a forward... tied for team lead with two goals scored, despite missing eight games due to illness and injury... finished with a .800 shots-on-goal percentage, landing 8 of her 10 shots on frame... in fact, each of her first six shots were on goal... after missing the season's first month, was able to work back to being an offensive contributor... Sept. 20 at Chattanooga, scored two goals... the first came on a rebound off the keeper... the second came on a penalty kick in the 84th minute...  in fact, it proved to be the Lady Govs only successful penalty kick... it also was the first two-goal game since Ashley Michels scored twice Oct. 12, 2008 vs. VMI.

2008: Played in 16 games, starting 10, as a forward/midfielder... finished the season with one assist... fired 24 shots, which ranked fourth-best on the team, putting 11 shots on goal... had at least two shots in eight games... played the full 90 minutes in two games (Sept. 19 vs. Coastal Carolina and Sept. 21 at Winthrop)... Sept. 21 vs. Winthrop, recorded season’s lone assist on a Lydia Gennett goal.

2007: Cannon played in 16 games and started in 14... tied for second on the team in points, finished the season with three goals, one assist and 15 shots on goal... Sept. 14 vs. Arkansas- Pine Bluff, scored her first career goal, a game-winner, in the 25th minute... Sept. 16 vs UNC-Asheville, stayed hot with a 64-minute goal in the next game... Sept. 28 at Tennessee Tech, delivered a cross to set up Ashley Beck’s goal for an assist in the Lady Govs 3-1 loss at TTU.

High School: Was named first-team All-District 5AAA and All-Sumner County from 2003-2006... was a 2006 first-team All-Tournament team selection... received her team’s Offensive “Most Valuable Player” award in 2006... selected first-team All-Sumner County for cross country in 2005.

Daughter of David Cannon and Laurie Warren.... born May 10, 1989... majoring in health and human performance... Named to Athletics Directors Honor Roll twice (Fall 2007 and Fall 2009).
