As a sophomore in 2011 – Hudson started 52 games this season (26 DH, 20 LF, 6 RF)… named to OVC All-Tournament team as a designated hitter… batted .280 with seven home runs, 33 RBI and 18 stolen bases… in OVC action, batted .359 with 14 RBI… batted .362 in April and May with 21 RBI… had a home run in each game of Eastern Michigan doubleheader, March 4… appeared as a pinch hitter, pinch runner and started at DH for Govs in Eastern Illinois series, did not record a hit but was credited with two RBI (both sacrifice flies)… was 1-for-3 in outfield start at Middle Tennessee, April 6, his first hit since March 16 (21 ABs)… had a hit in each game of EKU series, including an RBI triple in first at-bat… was 2-for-3 with RBI single against Western Kentucky, April 12… notched season’s fourth home run (solo shot) as part of a 2-for-5 outing against Belmont, April 13… extended hit streak to eight games with a hit in first two games of Jacksonville State series, including 3-for-4 effort in Game 1 and two-run home run for only hit of Game 2, before seeing streak end in finale… had walkoff base hit – as part of 2-for-5, 2 RBI outing – against Lipscomb, April 19… was hitless in Game 2 of Morehead State weekend but was hit by a pitch twice and scored once… led off Game 3 of Morehead State series, May 1, with home run and finished day 2-for-3 and was hit by a pitch twice… was 2-for-3 with RBI single and a double at Lipscomb, May 17… ended regular-season with two hits in each of final four games, batting .533 with three RBI during that four-game hit streak… had game-tying solo home run in seventh inning of Govs’ first OVC tourney meeting with Jacksonville State, May 27, finishing game 2-for-4 with one RBI… was 4-for-11 in OVC tournament play… did not record a hit (8 AB) in NCAA Tournament’s Atlanta Regional but was credited with an RBI against Mississippi State, June 4.
As a freshman in 2010 – Hudson was named to the OVC All-Freshman squad as an outfielder… playing in 49 games and starting 39… hit .283 on the season, with six doubles, three home runs, and 28 RBI… was third on the squad in stolen bases after stealing 18-of-21… in the season opener against Illinois State, Feb.  19, was 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base… two days later, went 3-for-4 against Illinois State, this time finishing with three runs and three stolen bases… hit first career home-run against Milwaukee, March 5, as part of 2-for-3, five-RBI performance… eight days later Hudson had another five-RBI performance at Charlotte, March 13, going 3-for-5 with a double… posted a 2-for-3 day against Centenary, March 20, with a double and home run to go along with two RBI… went 2-for-2 in a midweek matchup at Indiana State, March 23, also recording a stolen base… finished season strong with a seven-game hit streak starting at Tennessee Tech, May 9, and ending against UT Martin, May 21… batted .473 (9-of-19) during streak… posted a 2-for-3, two-RBI effort at Evansville, May 11th… started 16 games for the Govs in conference play, batting .275 with 11 runs and four-RBI.

Career Recap: Houston HS
Played under head coach Lane McCarter and was an All-State selection by both Tennessee Sportswriters Association and Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association as a senior… batted .455 as a senior with seven home runs, 48 RBI and 31 stolen bases while also posting three triples for third consecutive season… led the team in both on-base percentage (.500) and stolen bases (19) as a junior and was selected to TBCA All-State team… in 2007, was one of two sophomore starters and led the team in batting average (.437), on-base percentage (.570) and stolen bases (12) as the Mustangs finished third at 2007 Class AAA state tournament… twice named to the West Tennessee TBCA All-Star team… joins former Houston High School teammate Greg Bachman.
