Used as a middle reliever after starting four games early in the season... had his season’s best game, throwing three innings of relief, allowing one hit and no runs while striking out a career-high six against Freed-Hardeman, March 23... got his season’s fourth start against No. 16 Vanderbilt, April 5, allowing two runs on five hits in 3.1 innings of work... came in as a relief picture against Belmont, April 26, throwing three scoreless innings and allowing three hits while striking out two.

Lykins was a midweek starter, compiling a 2-1 record and 7.21 ERA in 15 appearances and nine starts... earned first collegiate victory at Lipscomb, March 15... season’s second victory came against Belmont, May 11, a game in which he struck out a career-high seven batters... season’s best start came in no-decision effort at Memphis, April 13, when he allowed just three runs in five innings while striking out five... went a career-high seven innings against Georgia State, April 19, walking six and striking out six before being lifted in earning no decision.
