As a junior in 2009 ? Tenholder enters the campaign as only APSU player with Preseason All-OVC recognition... was named a “Player to Watch” by Baseball America... needs just three saves to set APSU career saves mark (13, Jeff Mault, 2003-04).

As a sophomore in 2008 ? Tenholder made 30 relief appearances, tying school record for appearances, including 25 games finished... was second-team All-OVC selection as relief pitcher... finished season ranked 18th nationally with school record 11 saves... finished season with 4-1 record, 11 saves and 2.72 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched... in OVC action he posted a 3-1 record, five saves and 2.37 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 19.0 innings pitched... suffered season’s roughest outing in season’s second outing, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks while recording one out against Illinois State, March 2... recovered in next outing with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, striking out four at East Tennessee, March 5, for season’s first victory... surrendered just eight runs in season’s final 28 appearances... recorded 7.2 innings of scoreless relief over five games... streak included three scoreless innings at Eastern Kentucky, March 21, as he worked around four hits while striking out career-high five batters to get season’s second win... posted season’s third win against Morehead State, April 5... converted season’s final six consecutive save opportunities... notched saves in four straight outings while tossing six innings of scoreless relief in late April... posted saves against Tennessee Tech, at Evansville and a pair of saves in Southeast Missouri series... was tagged for season’s first loss in non-save opportunity after surrendering two runs in 10th inning of Govs loss to Tennessee-Martin, May 4... season’s final save came in Murray State series opener, May 16, which he followed with victory in series finale, May 17.

As a freshman in 2007 ?  Made seven appearances in relief... posted a 0-1 record with a 9.53 ERA in 5.2 innings... recorded six strikeouts and eight walks... had some control issues, with nine wild pitches and four hit batsmen... season’s longest outing came against Memphis, April 18, went  1.2 innings, allowed two runs on two hits, walked one and struck out three... was final pitcher on mound in Govs victory against Memphis at NCAA Nashville Regional, allowed one hit before inducing three straight left-field flyouts.

Under head coach Troy Hayes, missed junior campaign due to injury, but came back in senior year to post a 9-1 mark, with 103 strikeouts and 1.33 ERA... led the area in wins and strikeouts to be named all-district and all-state... played on the TBCA all-region team and the Tennessee Sunbelt Team... as a sophomore, went 9-1 with 94 strikeouts, a 1.01 ERA... led the area in wins and strikeouts and was an all-district selection.
