At Austin Peay: As a junior, McGee finished season ranked among conference’s top 10 in assists (7th, 3.50 apg), assist-to-turnover ratio (10th, 1.06) and minutes played (4th, 32.63 mpg)... in conference play only, she finished third in assists with 4.05 assists per game and improved to seventh in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.23) while averaging 35.35 minutes per conference outing... McGee made opening-night start at Chattanooga, Nov. 10, then moved into a key sixth-woman role the next three games... returned to starting role against Central Arkansas, Nov. 25, and played the entire 45 minutes, finishing with 12 points, four assists and four steals... made 22 consecutive starts before being relegated to coming off the bench for regular-season’ss final three contests... returned to starting role in Lady Govs OVC tournament contest at Southeast Missouri... scored career-high 15 points in back-to-back games, first at Jacksonville State, Jan. 4, and two days later at Eastern Illinois... dished out 10 assists against Tennessee State, Feb. 12, becoming first player since Kelly Chavez (Dec. 29, 2001) to reach double-digit assist territory... also had nine points and seven rebounds in that contest.
As a sophomore, McGee was penciled in as Lady Govs starting point guard prior to season’s start... played 10 minutes at Troy, Nov. 18, before suffering a knee injury which sidelined her for five games... came off bench for 11 games before returning to starting role, Jan. 28, at Samford where she played the season’s remainder... recorded a career-high seven assists off bench at Murray State, Jan. 12, while playing a season-high 25 minutes... in return to starting lineup at Samford, scored 10 points and dished out a team-best five assists.
As a freshman, McGee was the Lady Govs backup point guard behind three-year starter Cassandra Peek... scored five points at Western Kentucky, Nov. 23... scored five points in back-to-back conference affairs: Jan. 22 at Southeast Missouri and Jan. 25 vs. Tennessee Tech... also had a season-best four assists at Southeast Missouri, a mark she tied from a Jan. 8 contest against Eastern Illinois.
At Hamilton Southeastern HS: Under head coach Haley Beachamp, averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 assists and 3.1 assists as a senior, leading the Lady Royals to a 20-2 mark, but lost to eventual Class 4A state champion North Central in the sectional semifinal... was listed as a Top 40 senior girls’ basketball performer and was selected to the North/South Indiana All-Star Classic by Hoosier Basketball Magazine... was a three-time all-conference selection and a two-time Huntington North All-County team... holds the Indiana High School Activities Association records for single-season assists (175) and steals (170), setting both marks during her junior campaign... finished her four-year career at Hamilton Southeastern with 868 points (10.6 ppg), 489 assists (6.0 apg), 431 steals (5.3 spg) and 217 rebounds (2.6 rpg). |
