At Austin Peay: As a junior, Reeves led the Ohio Valley Conference in field-goal percentage, making 58.4 percent (115-of-197) of her attempts... in conference play only she was ranked second in field-goal percentage (.613) and 15th in scoring (11.9 ppg)... was among Lady Govs starting five off and on during season... had impressive January, posting double-digit scoring efforts in all nine games, averaging 16.1 points per game during the month and making 64.4 percent of her field-goal attempts... opened month with career-high 22-point performance against Tennessee-Martin, Jan. 2... included in the stretch was a 20-point effort against Southeast Missouri, Jan. 13, and ended with an 18-point performance at Southeast Missouri, Jan. 29.
As a sophomore, Reeves was third on team in scoring (10.1 ppg) and second in rebounding (4.8 rpg)... got off to a fast start, scoring 10 or more points in five of first six games... recorded first career double-double (20 points/10 rebounds) at Murray State, Jan. 12... after that double-double reached double-digit scoring territory only five times over regular season’s remaining 13 games, averaging 7.9 points and 4.1 rebounds during that stretch... made strong appearance in OVC tournament game against Morehead State, Feb. 28, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for her second-career double-double.
As a freshman, Reeves finished season playing in 26 games, averaging 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while making 55.9 percent of her field-goal attempts... played sparingly during season’s first two months, mostly seeing time late in contests... was thrust into starting role, Jan. 8, after loss of Robin Leslie and responded with three consecutive double-digit scoring efforts, all in conference play... scored 10 points in first collegiate start against Eastern Illinois (Jan. 8) followed by a 10-point performance against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 13) and then a 14-point, eight-rebound effort against Morehead State (Jan. 15)... scored eight points in first road start at Eastern Illinois, Jan. 20, before returning to supporting role with return of Missy Booker to lineup... after nine games on the bench, returned to starting lineup, Feb. 22, at Tennessee Tech, scoring four points... saved season’s best performance for last, scoring a season-best 19 points at Eastern Kentucky, Feb. 26, making all eight of her field-goal attempts.
At Jackson Central-Merry HS: Under head coach Tere Lumley, averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds per game during her career... was a two-time all-district 13-AAA selection and an all-state honorable mention selection as a junior... a two-sport athlete, Reeves also played volleyball and was an all-district 13-AAA and an All-West Tennessee selection her junior and senior years. |
