Biography
As a redshirt sophomore in 2013-14: Played in all 30 games in first APSU season, although battled some leg/knee issues at times…started eight games, shifting from the point and two-guard positions… averaged 8.3 ppg, shooting 31.1 percent (19 for 61) from behind the arc and 72.4 percent (63 for 87) from the free throw line… led the team with 35 steals… second on the team for assists with 75…led Govs in assists in seven games, including seven in home win against UT Martin (Jan. 2) and at Murray State (Jan. 11)…also had five against Jacksonville State (Jan. 23)… scored in double figures 11 times, including a season-high 21 points in Govs’ win against Montana State (Nov. 23)…also had 20 points the following game against Youngstown State, including a key late-game bucket…scored in double figures five times during OVC play, leading the team in scoring with 16 points against UT Martin (Jan. 2) at home… had 16 points and seven assists against Murray State (Jan. 11)…tallied 15 points at home against Eastern Illinois (Feb. 13)… also had 11 two days later against SIUE.
As a freshman at Lipscomb in 2011-12: Averaged 9.1 points and 2.6 assists in 26 games for Lipscomb...made 14 starts...scored 20 or more points on three occasions, including a 28-point, seven-assist effort against SIU Edwardsville...averaged 15.3 points and 4.8 assists on his way to all-tournamnet honors at the 2011 Cancun Challenge...scored in double figures on 11 occasions...elected not to return to Lipscomb after the season ended.
In high school: Local standout at West Creek High School. ... averaged 25.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2.7 assists as a senior, leading West Creek to a 28-7 record and the first state tournament appearance in school history ... scored 37 points against Siegel High in state tournament quarterfinals ... scored 35 points in region championship game against Clarksville High ... named the District 10-AAA Player of the Year and to the Tennessee Sports Writer's Association All-State team his senior year ... named to the First Team Tennessean's All-Midstate list ... selected to the Mike Kehoe Great 8 Classic all-tournament team.
