Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a redshirt junior in 2018:

• Only appeared in two matches, starting one, before missing the rest of the season with an injury.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2017:

• Played all 18 matches for the Govs with 16 starts in the midfield.
• Played 1444 minutes in her redshirt sophomore season.
• Tallied a goal and an assist against Mississippi Valley State.
• Recorded three assists on the season including one against Morehead State that secured the Govs a place in the OVC Tournament.

As a redshirt freshman in 2016:

• Named to All-OVC newcomer team in first official season.
• Started all 20 matches in the midfield, recording two goals and two assists.
• Recorded assists in each of her first two games, resulting in wins over UAB and Alabama State.
• First career goal came at home vs. Chattanooga after receiving a through ball down the center of the pitch.
• Scored game-winning goal against Eastern Kentucky, a highlight-reel finish in the 88th minute to give APSU a 1-0 victory.
• Nine of her 17 shots were on target, finishing with a .529 SOG%.

As a freshman in 2015:

• Redshirted for 2015 season.

Prior to Austin Peay: Played under head coach Diego Rodriguez at Gemnasio Femenino... four-time All-State team selection and Rookie of the Year award winner... selected to the Colombian National Team system twice... competed in 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for Colombia.

Personal: Daughter of Rolando Enrique Penaloza... has two siblings, Valentina and Maria Jose... grandfather played basketball for Colombian National Team... born Dec. 5... majoring in computer science and info systems.
