Career Recap: Austin Peay 
As a senior in 2018:

  • Converted to center back after primarily playing as a forward for her first three seasons.
  • Started all 17 matches for the Govs and led team in minutes played.
  • Scored the opening goal of the season in a 1-0 win over Middle Tennessee, a volley into the roof of the net after a corner, which made NCAA Soccer’s Top Five Plays.
  • Named OVC Defensive Player of the Week as a result (Aug. 18).

As a junior in 2017:

  • Played in all 18 matches for Austin Peay in her junior season.
  • Tallied one goal and one assist on the season in her 1107 minutes on the field.
  • Converted a crucial penalty kick from the spot against SIUE to keep the Govs home unbeaten streak alive.

As a sophomore in 2016:

  • Goal-scoring spark off the bench as a sophomore, scoring three goals.
  • Played all 20 games with starts in six of the first eight contests.
  • Finished with 22 shots (11 SOG).
  • Tallied season’s first goal at Alabama State, Aug. 21, after putting three shots on target.
  • On Sept. 11 vs. Alabama A&M, scored second goal with three shots attempted.
  • At Southeast Missouri, Oct. 2, sent game into overtime after netting game-tying goal in 51st minute.
  • Netted goal in PKs at OVC Tournament match in Edwardsville.

As a freshman in 2015:

  • Offensive weapon for Govs in first season.
  • Scored three goals – fifth-most on the team.
  • Also fifth-highest in total shots with 26 attempts.
  • First career goal was a game-winner vs. Chattanooga (Aug. 23).
  • Recorded goals in routs over Western Illinois (Sept. 11) and Alabama State (Sept. 20).

Prior to Austin Peay: Suited up three years for Mayfield Secondary School... reached the ROPSSAA semi-finals in 2012... named Most Valuable Player for senior soccer team as a sophomore... member of Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club under head coach Pedro Gonzalez... leading goal scorer for Bolton with 24 goals in 2014...teammate of current Lady Gov Amber Bateman for the past 11 years.

Personal: Daughter of Christine and Iain Smith... has a brother, Michael... born June 10... majoring in health and human performance.
