Career Recap: Austin Peay
2015-16 (Sophomore Season)

• Played in all 30 games with 21 starts.
• Averaged six points and team-leading 5.9 rebounds per game.
• Second-highest block total on the team with 23, and also forced 13 steals.
• Posted double-double vs. Morehead State (14 points, 12 rebounds).
• Did so again against Eastern Illinois (11 points, 11 rebounds).
• Scored season-high 17 points (7-of-8) vs. Murray State on Feb. 20.
• Made first career three-pointer against Jacksonville State, Jan. 7.

2014-15 (Freshman Season)

• Played in 29 games, averaging 1.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
• Grabbed career-high 11 rebounds in regular-season finale at Southeast Missouri, Feb. 28.
• Led APSU with eight rebounds at UT Martin, Feb. 14.
• Blocked career-best three shots against Eastern Illinois, Feb. 12, while adding five points and four rebounds.
• Had a near double-double with eight-point, nine-rebound performance against UT Martin, Feb. 4.
• Played against her sister Chastity in Western Kentucky contest, Dec. 16, and had two points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Career Recap: Fanklin-Simpson HS

• Led Franklin-Simpson High School as a senior with 13.8 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks per game
• was named to the All-Region 4 first-team and all-tournament team by the Kentucky Basketball Coaches Association
• selected to play in the KABC East/West All-Star Game
• prepped under head coach Josh Mathews
• holds Franklin-Simpson track records in the 200-meter dash (27.56 seconds) and was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that holds the school record.

Personal

• A criminal justice major with an emphasis in homeland security
• Born March 23, Sydney ShaRee Gooch is the daughter of Elaine and Thomas Gooch and has three siblings: Sherrick, Chastity and Chase
• Sister Chastity was an All-American as a member of the Western Kentucky women’s basketball team.
