As a freshman in 2015-16: Following in footsteps of father, Jermaine, a member of APSU’s Athletics Hall of Fame and star basketball performer... Govs’ second-leading rebounder (7) vs. Vanderbilt... Knocked down threes against Cal Poly and Northern Colorado, posting five points against the Bears... Hit two threes in the rematch at IPFW... Had nine points, hitting three three-pointers at North Florida... Played 23 minutes at Lipscomb, scoring eight points and pulling down seven boards... Scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting against Westminster, knocking down three three-pointers... Got some extended play in crunch time against Eastern Kentucky with multiple starters in foul trouble and responded by scoring eight of his 10 points in the second half... Played 26 minutes off the bench against SIU Edwardsville, including all five minutes of overtime... In 35 minute outing, scored 11 points and added six boards against Eastern Illinois... One of four in double figures at UT Martin with 14 points... In first career start, posted 11 points (6-of-7 on free throws) and added three assists at SIU Edwardsville... Started the regular season finale and scored eight points and added a career-high three steals against Southeast Missouri... Scored 13 points and hit a trio of big threes in the Governors comeback win against Tennessee State in the OVC Tournament quarterfinals... Played every minute of the Govs semifinal overtime win against Belmont, scoring 21 points, including five three-pointers... Picked a good time to go off for his career-best performance, scoring 24 points and pulling down 9 boards--both career-highs--against UT Martin in the OVC Championship game...Battling injury, scored four points and grabbed five rebouds in the NCAA Tournament appearance against Kansas... Averaged 12.9 ppg on 50.9 percent (28-of-55) shooting after entering the starting lineup (31.6 mpg).

High School: Came into his own as senior for William Unseld…after averaging respectable 13 points and five rebounds per game as junior while earning all-district honors, improved to 18 points and 9.4 rebounds per outing playing guard and forward…shot 48 percent from floor, including 56 percent from two-point range and better than 33 percent from three…earned all-district for second straight season and first-team all-region…also was named to district and region all-tournament teams as well as honorable mention Kentucky Prep Hoops All-Senior team…scored career-high 38 points—including seven three pointers—against University Heights Academy, only five points shy of Warren Central’s single-game scoring record….scored 20 or more points on 15 different occasions…named one of Kentucky High School’s top 50 best players by Rick Bolus Blue Chip Recruiting Service…scored 836 points over his final two seasons…joined former prep teammate, Chris Porter-Bunton, as Governor. 

Personal: Undecided on major…son of former APSU Hall-of-Fame great Jermaine Savage and Valerie Savage…born  March 2, 1997…age 18…has one older sister, Alexis.
