Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2018

• Made three relief appearances in his final season with the Govs, seeing his season come to an end after a four-pitch outing at Murray State, April 11.

As a junior in 2017

• Made 17 appearances, all as a reliever, recording 25 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched.
• Began season with a 3.97 ERA in first eight appearances, amassing 16 strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched while allowing only eight hits.
• Opening stretch ended with two-inning outing against Tennessee Tech, March 24, which saw him allow one run while striking out three batters.
• Supplied 2.1 innings of scoreless relief against Arkansas State, March 22, striking out three of the seven batters he faced.
• Struck out a season-best four batters against Middle Tennessee, Feb. 28, accounting for all of the outs in his 1.1-inning outing.
• Battled through rough patch after opening eight appearances, allowing a run in six of his next seven outings, which coincided with declining usage as he made only nine appearances in Govs final 35 games.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2016

• Made nine relief appearances during the season and limited opponents to a .235 batting average in his 9.2 innings.
• Had three consecutive outings totaling 4.2 innings of scoreless relief, March 20-April 12.
• Supplied two innings of scoreless relief three times during the season: at Jacksonville State (March 20), at Memphis (April 12) and at Lipscomb (May 17).

As a sophomore redshirt in 2015

• Did not play during the season while recovering from an injury

As a freshman in 2014

• Appeared in nine games (four starts), compiling a 2-2 record and 5.31 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 20.1 innings pitched.
• Played under head coach Robert White.

• Frederick Sydney Heagarty III is the son of Rick and Kristen Heagarty
• Born July 24.
• Prepped at Pope John Paul II High School
• Has four siblings: Reece, Julia, Brooks and Finely
• His parents, both Drake alumni, played football and volleyball, respectively
• A business major with a concentration management and a minor in coaching.
