As a senior in 2019

  • First Governors pitcher to reach 100 career appearances, reaching the milestone against Jacksonville State, May 18.
  • Also finished career ranked No. 3 in saves (17) and No. 19 in strikeouts (169).
  • Posted 28 appearances in final season, recording eight saves and a 2-5 record while striking out 62 batters in 44.2 innings pitched.
  • Notched six saves and a 1-1 record in OVC play, finishing with a 2.52 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched, limiting opponents to a .198 batting average.
  • Struck out four batters en route to season’s eighth save in OVC Tournament contest against Eastern Kentucky, May 23.
  • Struck out season-high six batters in 3.1 scoreless innings of relief against Morehead State, April 12, for season’s second win.
  • Recorded four saves in a five-appearance stretch, March 10-19, including three consecutive saves against Tennessee Tech, Western Kentucky and Southeast Missouri.
  • Winning pitcher in Govs extra-inning victory at No. 1 Vanderbilt, Feb. 27, allowing one run in three-inning outing and striking out five batters.
  • Began season as Govs No. 2 starter in Kentucky series, going five innings, but returned to bullpen for season’s remainder.

As a junior in 2018

  • Two-way man made 24 appearances as a hitter and 29 relief appearances, including six games in which he was a hitter and pitched during the game.
  • Finished season with 3-2 record and six saves on the mound with a 3.79 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched.
  • Had four saves in OVC play and posted a 1-1 record and 4.36 ERA.
  • Had a double and two walks as part of a 1-for-4, two-RBI evening at Murray State, April 11.
  • Hit season's fourth home run three days later at Lipscomb, April 10, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.
  • Hit a home run in three consecutive at-bats at Belmont, April 6, becoming first Governors hitter to accomplish the feat since Logan Gray (2015) and finished game 3-for-4 with three RBI.
  • Entered Kansas State finale, March 21, as a pitcher but moved to left field, singled and scored in the ninth inning, then returned to mound in the bottom of the ninth to notch save.
  • Season's sixth save came with three scoreless innings of relief at nationally-ranked Clemson, May 11, striking out three and scattering four hits.
  • Registered three saves in a five-appearance run ending with saves in both ends of a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky, April 13.
  • Made relief appearances in all three games of Eastern Kentucky series, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings and allowing only two hits.
  • After Indiana State outing did not allow a run in five consecutive outings totaling 9.1 innings, including outings at Ole Miss, Jacksonville State and in both Kansas State games. Stretch dropped his ERA to a season-low 1.71.
  • Season's second win came against Indiana State, March 3, but had to wait until month's end to notch his third win with three innings of work against Southeast Missouri, March 30.
  • Did not earn a decision against Toledo, Feb 25, but struck out six in a season-long five-inning outing.
  • Opened season on the mound with a relief win in season-opener against South Dakota State, Feb. 16, holding Jackrabbits to one run on four hits over 3.2 innings of work, striking out three.

As a sophomore in 2017

  • Played 51 games in various roles for the Govs.
  • Finished season with .213 batting average in 61 at-bats, with five home runs and 13 RBI and posted a .392 on-base percentage courtesy his 14 walks.
  • On the mound, finished season with 3-1 record and 6.55 ERA in 21 appearances (five starts), striking out 41 batters in 44.0 innings pitched.
  • Was a key bat off the bench for the Govs, batting .300 (3-for-10) with two home runs and four RBI as a pinch hitter.
  • Was Govs starting designated hitter five times in a seven-game span, April 19-May 10, and put together his best stretch at the plate – batting .250 with two home runs and five RBI while earning seven walks to also post a .500 on-base percentage.
  • Earned three walks and scored twice in back-to-back starts: April 25 against Western Kentucky and April 28 at UT Martin.
  • Finished UT Martin series 2-for-7 at the plate but one of those two hits was a three-run home run and he reached base in six of his 11 plate appearances (.545 on-base percentage). Also supplied two scoreless innings of relief on the mound to earn season’s only save.
  • Hit pinch-hit three-run home run against Arkansas State, March 22, as part of Govs game-ending eight run rally to post come-from-behind win.
  • First collegiate home run was pinch-hit, leadoff home run in ninth inning against Jacksonville State, March 12, to kick off Govs game-tying rally in that contest.
  • Made first collegiate pitching start at Tennessee, March 15, opening game by allowing one run in 2.1 innings.
  • Notched season’s first win in his next start, limiting Southeast Missouri to four runs on eight hits in a 4.1-inning outing that saw him strike out four batters.
  • Held Belmont to one run over five innings, April 8, to post a victory for the second consecutive week, again striking out four batters.
  • Season’s only loss came in his final start, April 21 against Morehead State, and he returned to the bullpen for the final month.
  • Posted season’s final win with one inning of scoreless relief at Lipscomb, May 16, as Govs posted come-from behind win.
  • Opened season with three scoreless innings of relief against Youngstown State, Feb. 17, striking out four batters.

As a freshman in 2016

  • Two-way guy in first season at Austin Peay with 25 relief pitching appearances and 14 outings on defense or at the plate.
  • On the mound, began season by not allowing an earned run in first five appearances and held a 3.86 ERA after season’s first six weeks. Finished season with 5.70 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched.
  • Finished year with two saves. Retired only batter he faced at Mercer, May 4, to end game for first career save. Second save came one week later in Govs win against Eastern Illinois, retiring three of the five batters he faced.
  • Season’s lone win came at Belmont, April 17, as he retired two of the four batters he faced in Govs come-from-behind victory.
  • At the plate, recorded first collegiate hit against Northern Illinois, March 16, a pinch-hit RBI double in the eighth inning.
  • Season’s second hit came in Govs’ OVC tourney opener against Belmont, May 25, a bunt single in the eighth inning.

Career Recap: Moline HS

  • Was a pitcher and played first base at Moline under head coach Craig Schimmel.
  • Named Quad City Times All-Metro Team Captain and was a First-Team All-Western Big Six Conference pick as a senior.
  • Threw the first no-hitter in conference play since 2011, finishing senior year with 6-1 record and 0.94 ERA while allowing nine walks against 74 strikeouts in 44.2 innings pitched.
  • Batted .342 in that senior campaign with .615 slugging percentage, posting 29 RBI on six home runs while registering 22 walks.
  • was an Quad Cities Times Second-Team All-Metro selection as a junior.
  • Posting a 5-4 record and 3.07 earned-run average with 73 strikeouts in 59.1 innings pitched
  • At the plate, he batted .282 with six home runs and 34 RBI finishing with a .573 slugging percentage.
  • Selected to play for Team Illinois in the Midwest Future Games. He also was invited to the Black and Silver Showcase and Area Code Game Tryouts.
