Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2018

  • Was Govs second baseman in a team-leading 55 starts and came off the bench once during the season.
  • Led Austin Peay with a .364 batting average, 59 runs scored, 26 doubles and 20 stolen bases during the season. Also had a team-best 30 multi-hit contests.
  • Finished season ranked among Division I's Top 50 in doubles (5th), hits per game (1.50, 37th) and runs per game (1.05, 40th).
  • Named Second-Team All-OVC at second base after batting .398 in league play – sixth among OVC hitters. His 53 hits (4th), 17 doubles (2nd) and 14 stolen bases (2nd) each ranked among the league's Top 10.
  • Opened season with a 31-game reached base safely streak that was part of a 38-game reached safely streak that began at the end of the 2017 season. It was the fourth longest reached safely streak in program history.
  • Ultimately reached safely in 54 of the 56 games he played and later had a 15-game reached safe streak – April 27-May 23.
  • Moved into the leadoff spot in the order to begin the Murray State series and batted .383 with a .425 on-base percentage after the move.
  • Had team-best 30 multi-hit outings during the season, including three four-hit affairs. Twenty-five of those multi-hit games came after he moved into the leadoff spot.
  • Posted a multi-hit outing in all three games of a weekend series four times – at Tennessee Tech, against Belmont, at Morehead State, and against Eastern Illinois.
  • Season's first four-hit day came at Kansas State, March 20, a 4-for-6 outing that saw him hit two doubles and score four times.
  • Next four-hit outing came one month later at Morehead State, April 21, with another 4-for-6 effort with two doubles that saw him score three times.
  • His final four-hit effort of the year came in Govs’ OVC tourney-opening game against Jacksonville State as he went 4-for-4 with a double.
  • Also had a four-RBI outing against Indiana State, March 2, to kick off a series that saw him reach base in 10 of 16 plate appearances (5-for-11, five walks).
  • Hit game-winning two-run double against Murray State, April 11, going 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBI off the bench.

As a junior transfer in 2017

  • Led the Governors in OVC play with a .345 batting average and .434 on-base percentage with 24 runs scored, 12 RBI and 17 walks in 27 games.
  • Finished season fourth on the team with a .310 batting average, recording 28 walks for a .390 on-base percentage while playing 56 games.
  • Season took off in second half after move to leadoff spot against Belmont, April 7. In season’s final 30 games led APSU in batting average (.346), hits (44), walks (20), on-base percentage (.443) and runs scored (25).
  • Posted a .400 batting average (6-for-15) during OVC tournament and led team with a .526 on-base percentage, reaching base in 10 of his 19 plate appearances.
  • Had an impressive five-game stretch, April 25-May 2, batting .542 (13-for-24) with 10 runs scored, eight RBI and two home runs.
  • That stretch opened with a 5-for-7, five RBI performance against Western Kentucky that included his season’s first home run and was the second five-hit performance by a Govs hitter in 2017.
  • Enjoyed the Govs series against Belmont, April 7-9, opening series with 4-for-4 outing and closing set with 3-for-3 day at the plate. Reached base in 12 of his 14 plate appearances (.857 on-base percentage), posted three RBI, four walks and three stolen bases during the series.
  • Batted an impressive .438 (28-for-64) to lead Govs during April’s 16 games, recording 14 walks for a team-best .532 on-base percentage, while striking out only seven times.
  • Also pieced together a 14-game hit streak (April 7-May 2) that was the longest by a Governor in 2017.
  • After batting just .224 through season’s first three weeks, broke out of early-season slump with 7-for-14 series against Jacksonville State, March 10-12, which included a 4-for-6 effort in series finale.

Career Recap: Cuesta CC
As a sophomore in 2016

  • Played in 43 contests for head coach Bob Miller, finishing season with .355 batting average, 35 runs scored and 35 RBI.
  • Named first-team All-Western State Conference while leading Cuesta to conference title.
  • Helped Cuesta reach the CCCAA Southern Super Regional round, recording a hit in all six postseason games and batting 7-for-23 (.304) with five RBI.
  • Enjoyed a 15-game hit streak during season’s middle stretch, batting .375 (24-for-64) with 16 runs scored and 10 RBI.

As a freshman in 2015

  • Played in 39 games and batted .266 with 27 runs scored and 15 RBI, posting a .339 on-base percentage with 16 walks.
  • Named second-team All-Western State Conference.
  • Played summer league baseball on the San Luis Obispo Blues club along with current Govs Levi Primasing and John Sparks.

Career Recap: San Luis Obispo HS

  • Named first-team All-Pac 7 after leading San Luis Obispo, under head coach Bobby Ryan, to league championship as a senior in 2013, also earned all-conference honors as a junior.
  • Also played quarterback for Tigers football team and amassed 1,439 offensive yards (730 rushing and 709 passing) as a senior with 10 touchdowns.
