Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2020

• Appeared in nine games, starting once, and batted .250 with a home run.
• Starting left fielder against Samford, Feb. 21, his third career start.
• Had pinch-hit solo home run in season opener against Eastern Michigan, Feb. 15.

As a junior in 2019

• Led Govs with 36 appearances off the bench and made one start.
• Made season’s start at Eastern Illinois, May 12, and walked in one of his four plate appearances.
• Credited with outfield assist off bench against Morehead State, April 12.
• Late defensive substitute in Govs shutout win at Murray State, March 10, and recorded a career-high three putouts, including a pair of stellar catches in first inning of work.
• Made season’s first appearance as a pinch runner in Game 1 of Kentucky series, April 15, scoring go-ahead run in the seventh inning.

As a sophomore in 2018

• Hubbard did not play during his sophomore year at Austin Peay.

As a freshman in 2017

• Made 30 appearances in first season, primarily off the bench. Finished season 4-for-19 at the plate with seven runs scored.
• Appeared in both Lipscomb contests going 1-for-1 with a run scored as a pinch hitter in May 10 contest before stealing a base and scoring as a pinch runner in May 16 matchup.
• Made season’s lone start against Western Kentucky, April 25, and had RBI single in first at-bat as part of 1-for-5 outing.
• First collegiate hit was a pinch-hit solo home run against Tennessee Tech, March 25, which also made him the 13th different Governor to hit a home run, breaking the program record.

Career Recap: Arlington HS

• Played center field for Tigers and head coach Chris Ring.
• Helped lead Arlington to TSSAA Class AAA Championship game after winning both District 14AAA and Region 7AAA.

Personal

• Born July 2.
• Jacob Tyler Hubbard is the son of Jason and Ashlie Hubbard.
• Has an older brother, Austin, and younger sister, Emma.
• A criminal justice major with a concentration in homeland security and minor in clobal security systems.
