Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2018

  • Opening day starter in right field ultimately appeared in 51 games and made 47 starts.
  • Batted .292 with 10 home runs and 39 RBI in his lone season as a Governor.
  • Finished year second on the team in both multi-hit (18) and multi-RBI (14) games.
  • Reached base in 22 consecutive games, April 4-May 12, the streak ending in Game 2 of Clemson series.
  • Had four consecutive multi-hit games, April 27-May 1, and in six of eight games dating back to April 21. Batted .467 (14-30) with four home runs, 11 RBI and six walks in those eight games.
  • Led Govs with .636 batting average (7-11) during the UT Martin series, April 27-29, with one home run and three RBI in the set.
  • Missed five games and did not start another four, March 16-30, due to a lower-body injury suffered during Murray State opener, March 16, returning to starting lineup March 31 at Southeast Missouri.
  • Had a home run and multi-RBI outing in all three games of Morehead State series, March 20-22, finishing series 5-for-14 with seven RBI.
  • Had two hits in each game of Jacksonville State series, March 9-11, and finished set with three doubles and four RBI.
  • Capped season's opening week with solo home runs in consecutive at-bats against Southern Illinois, Feb. 20, as part of a 2-for-4 outing.

  • Walker did not play in his first season at Austin Peay.

As a sophomore in 2016

  • Batted .302 with eight doubles, six triples and 24 RBI in sophomore season with head coach Mike Corn.
  • His six triples were 33rd-most in NJCAA nationally. Also stole 25 bases, 38th in nation.
  • Went 2-for-3 with a triple, home run, three RBI and three runs scored at Snead State, April 5.
  • Finished career with six-game hit streak, which included a home run as part of 1-for-3, two RBI performance against Chattanooga State, April 29.

As a freshman in 2015

  • Was a Region 7 All-Conference selection as a freshman after finishing ninth nationally with a .536 on-base percentage while earning 34 walks (46th nationally).
  • Posted a .372 batting average with 31 RBI and had 16 stolen bases.
  • Had three three-RBI outings, including a 4-for-6, three RBI performance against Volunteer State, April 3.
  • Had three stolen bases in a game against Walters State, Feb. 28.

Career Recap: Summit HS

  • Named to All-District 11-AAA Team and District 11-AAA All-Tournament team as a senior for head coach Chad Kirby.
