Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a senior in 2019:

  • Made 17 starts in 17 appearances, while only leaving the pitch once in her final season.
  • Played 1,554 minutes in her senior campaign to finish her career with 6,360 minutes played – which is the third most in Austin Peay soccer history.
  • Finished her career tied for fourth all-time in program history, having started in all 72 games in which she appeared.
  • Scored her fourth career goal, and first since 2017, when she found the back of the net with a header off of a corner kick on Senior Day against Evansville, Sept. 15.

As a junior in 2018:

  • One of the most consistent performers for the Govs, starting all 17 matches as a defender.
  • Played the entirety of 13 games, while logging the second most minutes on the season for the Governors.
  • Fired 30 shots on the season, good for second-best on the team.
  • Dished out an assist in a 3-0 win over Eastern Kentucky, Oct. 5.

As a sophomore in 2017:

  • Started all 18 matches for the Governors in the midfield.
  • Recorded a team high 1,667 minutes on the pitch during her sophomore season.
  • Tallied one goal and two assists on the year.
  • Scored her lone goal of the season in the opener against Chattanooga, Aug. 18.

As a freshman in 2016:

  • Emerged as dominant midfield presence for the Govs, starting in all 20 matches.
  • Played 90-plus minutes in eight games during her debut season.
  • Attempted a shot in all but two contests, showcasing her long-range shooting distance.
  • Posted her first collegiate goal at Western Kentucky, Sept. 2 – a shot from 35 yards out to help send the match into overtime.
  • Earned three points on the road at UT Martin, Sept. 30, scoring the Gov’s third goal of the game while also recording her first career assist.

Prepped at Knoxville Catholic under Mark Leader… defensive-minded player who shined at both center back and central midfielder roles… named to Prep-Xtra second team as a freshman… three-time district first-team selection, beginning with state championship campaign as a sophomore… in 2014, earned Defender of the Year honors along with a second state title… as a senior, crowned district Most Valuable Player… member of Mu Alpha Theta math national honors society… played club soccer for FC Alliance 98G Black under the direction of Kris Ray.

Daughter of Nina and Eddy Semaan… has two siblings, Nicholas and Luke… born October 27... a Chemistry major.
