Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a graduate student in 2021:
- Played in all 33 matches, appearing in 124 of 125 sets.
- Finished the season with a career-high 412 kills and 374 digs, which ranked fifth and eighth in the OVC, respectively.
- Enjoyed career’s most efficient outing against Merrimack (Sept. 3), recording 10 kills on 13 swings with no errors (.769 attack percentage).
- Posted three 20-kill outings including a season-high 22 kills against SIUE (Oct. 1)
- Had three 20-dig matches including a season-best 23-dig performance at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 8), one-off her career-high of 24 set in 2018.
- Third player in program history (Nikki Doyle, Kristen Stucker) to be named an All-OVC selection three times in a career after being named First Team All-OVC.
- 24th OVC All-Tournament selection in program history and third Governor to receive the award multiple times in a career (Isabel Canedo, Kristen Stucker)
- Became Austin Peay’s all-time kills leader, Nov. 7, against UT Martin, passing Sarah Schramka’s previous record of 1,530. Finished her career with 1,597 kills – the 15th highest mark in OVC history.
- Became first player in program history – and sixth in OVC history – to record 1,500 kills and 1,500 digs in a career following a 20-kill, 20-dig performance at Southeast Missouri (Oct. 28).
- Finished the season with 16 double-doubles, including her 62nd career double-double in a 17-kill, 18-dig performance in the final match of her career against Morehead State in the OVC Volleyball Championship semifinals (Nov. 19).
As a senior in 2020-21:
- Started all 14 matches and played all 49 sets.
- Finished season with 147 kills (3.00 per set) and 169 digs (3.45 per set).
- Posted seven double-doubles during the season, including three straight to end the campaign.
- Closed season with 13 kills and a season-best 21 digs at UT Martin, March 29.
- Enjoyed most efficient attack effort in season’s penultimate match at UTM, March 29, posting a .367 attack percentage with 14 kills.
- Posted a season-best 15-kill outing at Eastern Illinois, March 1.
- Began season with five consecutive double-digit kill outings.
As a junior in 2019:
- Only Govs player to play in all 31 matches and all 118 sets.
- Finished junior campaign with a team-best 378 kills (3.20 per set) and was second on the team with 372 digs (3.15 per set).
- Recorded a team-leading 16 double-doubles during the season.
- Became the eighth APSU hitter to join the Double-Grand Club, surpassing both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs within a two-match span in November.
- Reached the 1,000-kill mark with an 18-kill effort at Southeast Missouri, Nov. 7.
- Posted her 1,000th dig the next day with 13 digs at UT Martin, Nov. 8.
- Named OVC Player of the Week, Oct. 21, after back-to-back double-doubles against Tennessee State and Belmont. She posted 29 kills and a .542 attack percentage in the two wins.
- Posted 29 kills and 22 digs against Missouri State, Sept. 21, to record the 17th 20-20 performance in program history and first since 2009.
- Enjoyed season’s most efficient outing against Belmont, Oct. 1, recording 18 kills on 28 attempts with only one error (.607 attack percentage).
- Posted first 20-kill outing of the season against Kansas City, Sept. 14.
- Notched a season-best five service aces against Eastern Illinois, Nov. 1.
- Finished season with 20 digs and 12 kills against Morehead State, Nov. 21.
As a sophomore in 2018:
- Played in all 32 matches (120 sets), finishing year with 370 kills (3.08 per set) and 358 digs (2.98 per set) – second on the team in both categories.
- Pieced together a 12-match double-digit kill stretch, Sept. 11-Oct. 13, that saw her average 3.66 kills per set (165 kills/45 sets) with a .220 attack percentage.
- Named OVC Offensive Player of the Week, Sept. 17, after leading the Govs at the Rice Invitational. Posted 47 kills (4.27 per set) and 47 digs (4.27 per set) as the Govs downed McNeese and Ole Miss before falling to host Rice.
- Posted a season-high 21 kills against McNeese, Sept. 14,
- Had three 20-dig performances, beginning with career-high 24 digs in Govs win against Ole Miss, Sept. 14. Added a 20-dig effort at Belmont, Oct. 12, and a 21-dig performance to end the regular season against Eastern Illinois, Nov. 10.
- Also finished year with 15 double-doubles, including three straight to open OVC play at Southeast Missouri, Sept. 21, at UT Martin, Sept. 22, and against Murray State, Sept. 25. Austin Peay was 14-1 when she posted a double-double.
As a freshman in 2017:
- Played in all 36 matches (31 starts) and all 132 sets in rookie campaign and finished first year with 290 kills (2.20 per set), 337 digs (2.55 per set) and 44 service aces (0.33 per set).
- First freshman in OVC history to be named Tournament Most Valuable Player.
- Along with Jenna Panning, was one of two Govs to post a team-best five-kill outing against UCLA in Govs NCAA tournament appearance, Dec. 1.
- Led Austin Peay during OVC tournament with 48 kills (4.00 per set) and a .305 attack percentage while also posting 43 digs (3.58 per set) and 10 blocks (0.83 per set).
- Tournament output included career-best 22-kill outing in semifinal victory against Eastern Kentucky, becoming the fifth 20-kill performance by any Governor in 2017. Also had six blocks in the contest to finish with 26.5 points.
- Ranked 32nd nationally and seventh among Division I freshmen with 44 service aces.
- Has nine double-doubles this season, including two in the OVC tournament.
- Has posted double-digit kills in each of her last five matches, beginning with back-to-back 17-kill performances to end the regular season, and leads Govs with 82 kills (4.32 per set) during that stretch.
- Posted then-season best 19 kills against Mercer, Sept. 8, to start a three-match streak with 10-plus kills.
- Displayed skills at the service line with seven-match streak with a service ace, Oct. 19-Nov. 4, recording 18 aces (0.67 per set) during the streak.
Career Recap: Assumption HS
- Named first-team all-state by Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association as a senior after posting 270 kills (2.93 per set) and a .245 attack percentage with 34 service aces, 31 blocks and 237 digs.
- Led Assumption High School under head coach Ron Kordes to 2015 KSHAA State Championship with 332 kills (3.19 per set) and a .264 attack percentage as a junior.
- Named to KHSAA All-Tournament team in 2015, posting 45 kills (3.46 per set) and a .298 attack percentage in four tourney matches.
- Had back-to-back 16 kill efforts in tourney quarterfinals and semifinals to help team reach championship match.
- Named to PrepVolleyball.com Special Mention All-America squad.
- Selected to AVCA Phenom List in 2014 and 2015.
- Played club volleyball for KIVA.
