Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a senior in 2020

  • Made relief appearances twice in season’s opening week before an injury ended his season.

As a junior transfer in 2019

  • Appeared in 22 games, making starts in each of the season’s final three regular season weekends.
  • Recorded all of his decisions in the season’s second half, going 3-0 as a reliever and 2-1 as a starter after April 16. Struck out 42 batters in his 40.2 innings during the season.
  • Was winning pitcher out of the bullpen in Govs OVC Tournament victory against Eastern Kentucky, striking out seven batters and allowing one run in 5.1-inning outing.
  • Struck out a season-best seven batters in 3.2 innings against Jacksonville State but surrendered three home runs in season’s only loss.
  • Held Eastern Illinois to two runs over five innings in series finale, picking up win No. 4.
  • In season’s first start, rolled through four scoreless inning against Jacksonville to lead Govs to series victory.
  • Picked up wins in back-to-back relief outings in mid-April. Struck out three in an inning of work against Southern Illinois, April 16, and earned win in Govs comeback victory. Tossed then-season high 3.1 innings of relief at UT Martin, April 21, and struck out four to earn second win.
  • Enjoyed a six-game stretch where he did not allow a run, March 11-27, amassing 7.2 consecutive scoreless innings where he allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out eight batters.
  • Posted season’s lone save in second appearance, battling through three innings against Northern Illinois, Feb. 24.
  • Went 1-for-3 at the plate and appeared as a pinch hitter at Tennessee, May 7, and Eastern Illinois, May 11. Notched his first collegiate base hit at Eastern Illinois.

  • Two-way player for head coach Kirk Kelley, helping Mountaineers reach NJCAA Region II championship game as a sophomore.
  • Batted .352 with nine home runs and 47 RBI as a sophomore.
  • Went 7-1 on the mound with a 3.82 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 66.0 innings pitched.
  • Batted .300 in limited action as a freshman and was 1-1 on the mound.

Career Recap: El Reno HS

  • Batted .338 with 27 RBI as a senior after posting a .415 average and 21 RBI as a junior.
  • Compiled an 11-6 record on the mound in his final two seasons, including a 5-1 record and 2.89 ERA with 57 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched as a senior.
  • Named to Oklahoma Coaches Association’s All-Region 1 Large West Team as a senior.
  • Selected to 2015 Oklahoma State Games for the Northwest Team.
