Career Recap: Austin Peay
As a junior in 2020
- Saw action in 11 games, starting four games in left field and two in right field.
- Had a double as part of a 1-for-4 outing in start at Lipscomb, March 10.
- Started all three games of the Jacksonville series, Feb. 28-March 1. Went 1-for-3 with a RBI in the opener and followed up with three walks in Game 2 of the set.
- Also made two relief pitching appearances during the season.
As a sophomore transfer in 2019
- Opening day starter in left field, appeared in 16 games and made eight starts before lower-body injury sidelined him the season’s final two months.
- Was hit by a pitch to drive in a run and later scored against Belmont, March 31, in his final appearance of the season.
- Delivered three of his hits against Murray State, with a pinch-hit single in the March 27 midweek outing following a 2-for-5 performance in the weekend series, March 10-11.
- Record first collegiate hit off the bench at Indiana State, March 1.
- Walked twice and stole a base in his collegiate debut against Kentucky, Feb. 15.
Career Recap: Pensacola State College
- Played outfield for head coach Bryan Lewallyn.
- Batted .296 as a redshirt freshman with 33 RBI and 33 runs scored, posting a .420 on-base percentage.
- Began year with 10-game hit streak.
- First collegiate season was spent at South Alabama, but did not play.
Prep Career Recap
- Played his first three prep seasons (2013-15) at Homewood High School in Birmingham before transferring to Pelham for senior season (2016).
- Ranked as the No. 2 outfielder in Alabama by Perfect Game after senior senior.
- Earned 2015 Underclass High School All-American honorable mention from Perfect Game as a junior.
- Named to the Birmingham All-Metro Team as a sophomore, and picked up a 2014 Underclass HS All-America honorable mention from Perfect Game after his freshman year.
- Tossed a no-hitter his sophomore season at HHS ... Also lettered in basketball two years and football and baseball for four years in his prep career.

- Frederick Griffin Rivers is the son of Chip and Cynthia Rivers.
- Birthday is Nov. 1.
- Has three siblings: Conner, Miles and Brittany.
