Made 16 appearances, including four starts, and had 22 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched.
After appearing in weekend rotation, for three consecutive weekends, came out of the bullpen at Vanderbilt (April 20) and provided two scoreless innings of relief.
Was Govs No. 2 starter in weekend sets at Eastern Kentucky (April 3) and against Morehead State (April 9) but suffered losses in both outings.
Moved into weekend rotation for the first time against Belmont (March 26) and promptly went 7.0 innings allowing only one run, walking none, and striking out five, but did not factor into the decision.
First collegiate start was midweek outing against Middle Tennessee (March 16) that saw him strikeout five batters over four innings.

Prep Career

Was a pitcher, third baseman and first baseman for head coach Dustin Smith, a Governors alumnus, at Clarksville Academy.
Finished junior season (2019) with a 6-3 record, 1.48 ERA and 86 strikeouts and was the Cougars starting pitcher in their 2019 Division II Class AA State Tournament opener against Goodpasture.
Named to 2018 Tennessee Baseball Report Super Freshman & Sophomore Team and selected to participate in TBCA Region Showcase.

Personal

Nolan Payne O’Shoney is the son of Craig and Lori O’Shoney.
Birthday is Feb. 15.
Has a brother, Spencer, who was a 2020 APSU graduate and commissioned U.S. Army officer as a graduate of the university’s Governors Guard Battalion (ROTC Cadre).
