2022

  • Opening Day starter in center field and played in 39 games, starting 29, all in center field during the season.
  • Batted .232 with four doubles, 10 RBI, and had 10 stolen bases.
  • Posted a .316 batting average in 14 OVC games played.
  • Wrapped up opening weekend against Boston College with a 2-for-5, two RBI effort that included a double (Feb. 20).
  • Went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Saint Louis series finale (March 20).
  • Pieced together a five-game hit streak (April 16-23) that saw him bat .368 (7-for-19) with four runs scored.
  • Scored three times as part of a 2-for-4, two-walk outing against Southern Illinois (April 19).
  • Went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a double at Bellarmine (April 27) but suffered an injury that limited him the next month.
  • Provided a pinch hit single in regular-season finale against Morehead State (May 21).
  • Returned to starting lineup in OVC Tournament game against SIUE (May 24) and went 1-for-4.

2021

  • Governors’ Opening Day starter in right field, made 23 starts and 43 appearances. Made 18 starts in right field, three in center field and two at second base during the season.
  • Battled through rough campaign at the plate, batting .138 with a home run and six RBI.
  • Had an RBI in three consecutive games, May 7-11, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run at Eastern Illinois (May 7), adding a sacrifice fly in the EIU series finale (May 8), and adding a 1-for-4 outing with a double and RBI at Belmont (May 11).

2020

  • Played in all 17 games, starting 15 games in right field and one start at second base.
  • Opening Day starter in right field, began collegiate career with 2-for-5, three-RBI outing against Eastern Michigan.
  • Finished shortened season batting .297 with a home run and team-best 14 RBI.
  • Third three-RBI day came as part of 4-for-5 outing in Game 2 of Murray State series, March 7, and included three doubles.
  • Provided three RBI in 2-for-4 outing at Western Kentucky, Feb. 25.

2019

  • Attended Fall 2018 semester at Tennessee and transferred to Austin Peay in January 2019.

Prep Career

  • Played third base for head coach Brian Hetland at Clarksville High School.
  • Batted .524 with 21 stolen bases, nine triples and a .612 on-base percentage as a senior.
  • Hit 14 doubles with 33 RBIs and 51 runs scored in 2017.
  • 2018 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American (Southeast Region HM).
  • 2018 nominee for the Tennessean Sports Award Athlete of the Year.
  • Two-time All-State selection (2017-18).
  • Earned All-District honors three years in a row (2016-18).
  • 2017 PG Underclass Honorable Mention.
  • Named 2017 District 10-AAA MVP.
  • Tabbed the Leaf-Chronicle All-Area Baseball Player of the Year in 2017.
  • 2017 Tennessee AAA Mr. Baseball Finalist.
  • Ranked as the No. 7 shortstop in Tennessee in the 2018 Class by Perfect Game.

  • Skyler Jameson Luna is the son of Jean and Craig Luna and has three siblings: Dakota, Mason and Addison.
  • Birthday is Sept. 2.
  • A health and human performance major with a concentration in applied exercise science and minor in coaching.
  • His 2010 Little League All-Star team won the state championship.
