The field once served as a practice for Austin Peay football and came about because of the generosity of the Morgan Brothers Construction, which provided the excavation and field preparation for the facility’s construction.

How good is the field? The Tennessee Titans chose Austin Peay and the Morgan Brothers Soccer Field to serve as its summer training camp home in 2006 – the only time the Titans have trained outside of Nashville since arriving in the Music City.

Austin Peay has posted seven winning seasons in the field's first nine campaigns. The soccer team posted a program-best 8-1 home record during the 2010 season, a season which saw it allow just one goal on home soil.

Austin Peay began playing soccer in 2002 and for the first three seasons the Lady Govs played its home matches at Heritage Park, a city-maintained facility. But as the program matured, an on-campus field became a necessity and with the help of the Morgan Brothers, that dream was realized.
