2023 | Austin Peay

• Made three midweek starts and one relief appearance.
• Debuted as the starting pitcher at UT Martin (April 12) and went 2.2 innings.
• Also made starts at Southern Illinois (2.2 IP, April 18) and Western Kentucky (1.0 IP, April 25).
• Made season’s lone relief appearance against Lipscomb (May 12), allowing one run in 1.2 innings.

Prep Career

• Played infield and pitched for head coach David Smart at Lambert High School
• A First Team All-Region 6-7A selection as a senior, helping Lambert reach Georgia Class 7A Sweet 16.
• Ranked in the Top 100 in the state of Georgia as an RHP
• Also played football for the Longhorns and was a quarterback and punter.

• Michael Ashton Smith Jr. is the son of Cindy and Michael Smith Sr.
• Birthday is Dec. 14.
• Has three siblings: Haley, Landon, and Brooke.
