2025 | Austin Peay

  • Made 13 appearances on the mound for the Govs, starting seven games and finishing the season with a 4-1 win-loss record.
  • He struck out 29 batters and accumulated a 5.53 ERA over 42.1 innings of work.
  • He notched his first win as a Governor against St. Thomas (March 9), where he threw 2.2 innings in relief, striking out a pair of runners and not allowing a run to score.
  • His longest outing of the year came in his start against Tennessee Tech (March 25), where he threw a single-game best 7.1 innings and struck out five batters.
  • Struck out a career single-game best six strikeouts in a start at Purdue (April 22), where he threw six innings and allowed just two runs to score while picking up his third win.

2024 | Houston

  • Cox transferred to Austin Peay in January after being a member of the University of Houston’s fall roster.

2023 | Cowley Community College

  • Started 14 games and finished with an 8-1 record and 2.72 ERA.
  • Struck out 72 batters in 79.1 innings pitched, with opposing batters only posting a .201 batting average against him.
  • Allowed one run in season’s first four appearances, totaling 15 innings. Stretch included 10 shutout innings in back-to-back starts against Indian Hills Community College (March 4) and Coffeyville Community College (March 9).
  • Closed season with five consecutive wins (April 27-May 21), including two wins in the Plains District Tournament.
  • Struck out a season-best 10 batters over eight innings to defeat Pratt Community College (May 10).
  • He opened the Plains District Tournament with six strikeouts over 6.2 innings, holding Cloud County Community College to one run (May 17).
  • Helped keep Cowley County’s season alive with an eight-inning outing against Johnson County Community College (May 21), striking out eight batters and allowing only two runs.

2022 | Cowley Community College

  • Appeared in 16 games, starting 11, and compiled a 7-0 record with a 3.11 ERA.
  • Struck out 52 batters in 63.2 innings pitched and held opponents to a .232 batting average.
  • Debuted against North East Texas Community College (Feb. 12) and struck out two batters in an inning of relief.
  • Made first start against Indian Hills Community College (March 3) and went 3.1 innings but did not factor into the decision.
  • Picked up first win in his next start at Labette Community College (March 14), striking out five batters over 4.0 innings.
  • Won next two starts, including a 5.1-scoreless inning outing at Coffeyville Community College (March 26).
  • Notched wins in three-straight starts again in April at Johnson County Community College (April 16), against Highland Community College (April 22), and against Butler Community College (April 30).
  • Picked up final victory in relief against Seward County Community College (May 12), providing 3.1 innings of scoreless relief in NJCAA Region VI Opening Round.
  • Starting pitcher in Cowley County’s NJCAA DI Baseball World Series outing against McLennan Community College (May 30), tossing four innings.

Prep Career

  • Was a pitcher and second baseman for head coach Joe Patterson at Mustang High School.
  • Helped Mustang reach the 2021 Oklahoma Class 6A Championship game as a senior.
