2024 | Austin Peay

  • Was one of the Govs’ best arms on the pitching staff, as he had a dominant season posting a 6-0 record in ten starts.
  • Struck out 60 batters while only allowing 17 walks in 58.0 innings.
  • Posted a conference-best 2.95 ERA after giving up just 19 earned runs, the least in the ASUN.
  • Held batters to an ASUN-best .174 batting average as well as hits allowed with only 36 given up.
  • Earned his first win as a Gov against Western Illinois (February 18) after throwing 5.0 innings striking out five.
  • In his next start against Maryland Eastern Shore (February 24), he went a complete seven innings striking out a career-best 12 batters while only allowing one hit and not giving up a run in the 10-0 weekend shutout.
  • Threw five more shutout innings against UT Rio Grande Valley (March 2) striking out seven and allowing just three hits.
  • Collected seven strikeouts in his third complete game of the season against Lipscomb (March 16) allowing just one earned run on three hits and a walk in the 12-1 win over the Bisons.

2023 | Texas Tech

  • Made 14 relief appearances at Texas Tech, picking up a win and a save while striking out 19 batters in 17.2 innings pitched.
  • Picked up his season’s lone win in his third outing of the season, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings against Western Illinois (Feb. 26).
  • Notched his save two outings later, providing a scoreless inning of relief against New Mexico (March 7).
  • Struck out three batters in a 2.2-inning outing against Iowa (March 12), his longest relief appearance of the season.

2022 | Texas Tech

  • Made 16 appearances, including four starts, finishing with a 2-1 record and a save.
  • Struck out 26 batters in 23.0 innings pitched and posted a 4.30 ERA.
  • Also made three appearances in center field and was used as a pinch runner once.
  • Made four midweek starts in consecutive weeks (March 29-April 19) with a win against Stephen F. Austin (March 29) highlighting the stretch.
  • Struck out five batters in that four-inning outing against SFA, allowing one run on two hits.
  • Provide three scoreless innings in a start against Oklahoma (April 12).
  • Picked up season’s second victory in relief outing against Abilene Christian (May 3).
  • Entered game at No. 3 Oklahoma State with the bases loaded and one out and recorded the final out to earn the save.
  • Closed the season with seven consecutive outings without allowing a run, including two games in the Big 12 Baseball Championship and two outings in the NCAA’s Statesboro Regional.
  • Recorded a hold against UNC Greensboro (June 4) with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief, striking out two batters.
  • Provided a scoreless ninth inning against Notre Dame (June 5).

2021 | Texas Tech

  • Made 17 relief appearances totaling 15.0 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts and a 1-1 record.
  • Did not allow an earned run in two innings of work against Texas Southern (March 2) and UConn (March 12), striking out three batters in each game.
  • Secured first win with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief against South Florida (March 28).
  • Struck out three batters in an inning of work against Baylor (April 23).
  • Made two appearances in the Big 12 Baseball Championship, allowing one unearned run against Baylor (May 26).
  • Also made an appearance in the NCAA’s Los Angeles Regional, providing an inning of scoreless relief against host UCLA (June 6).

2020 | Texas Tech

  • Made six relief appearances in the COVID-19 shortened season.
  • Struck out 10 batters in 7.1 innings pitched.
  • Posted a 1.23 ERA with one earned run allowed and held opponents to a .160 batting average.
  • Allowed season’s only run in collegiate debut against Northern Colorado (Feb. 16).
  • Notched first collegiate win in second appearance with two strikeouts in the 10th inning against Houston at the 2020 Round Rock Classic.
  • First save came two outings later with two strikeouts in an inning at Florida State (March 1).
  • Went a season-long 2.2 innings without allowing a run against Rice (March 8).

Prep Career

  • Was a right-handed pitcher and middle infielder for head coach John Arisohn at Simi Valley High School
  • As a senior, earned Coastal Canyon League Pitcher of the Year, Ventura County Pitcher of the Year, All-Area first team, All-CIF Southern Section first team, All-American Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Year, Team California first team
  • Tallied a 0.48 ERA his senior year with 96 strikeouts in 58 innings, allowing only four earned runs all season, while piecing together a stretch of 47-straight innings without giving up a run
  • Also hit .443 with 12 home runs, seven triples and 27 stolen bases
  • He was a member of the 2014 USA Baseball 14U club.
  • Named first team all-league and second team All-Ventura County as a junior after hitting .416 with two home runs, two triples, eight doubles, 17 RBI, 31 runs and 14 stolen bases
  • Missed his entire sophomore season recovering from Tommy John surgery
