2025 | Austin Peay

  • Started 15 games on the mound, throwing 70.1 innings and finishing the season with a 5-2 win-loss record with a 5.37 ERA.
  • Posted a 7.17 K/9 after striking out 56 batters through 268 at-bats.
  • Matched his career best eight strikeouts in a single game against Central Arkansas (May 10) over six innings of work.
  • Matched his career-longest outing twice this season, at Eastern Kentucky (April 18) and against Bellarmine (May 4), earning the win in each performance.
  • Became the seventh individual to throw a no-hitter in program history at Eastern Kentucky (April 18), striking out five batters and allowing just three baserunners over seven innings in the run-rule victory.

2024 | Austin Peay

  • Started 15 games on the mound for the Govs, throwing 79.1 innings and finishing the season 4-3 with a 7.37 ERA.
  • Posted a 7.48 K/9, striking out 66 on the year after facing 389 batters.
  • Threw a complete game and earned the win against Kennesaw State (March 29), improving to 2-1 on the year, after only allowing two runs and striking out five in seven innings of work to beat the Owls.
  • Credited the win after almost going the distance against North Alabama (May 16), throwing 6.1 innings for the Govs, striking out six, and allowing the only two runs of the game in the 13-2 victory over the Lions.
  • Set a new career-high strikeouts in a single game with eight against Bellarmine (April 5) in 5.2 innings on the mound.
  • Was the Govs Opening Day starter who faced Western Illinois (February 16) and struck out six batters in five innings pitched.
  • Picked up his first win of the 2024 season against Maryland Eastern Shore (February 23), going six innings deep in 92 pitches, striking out seven, and only allowing two earned runs, facing 29 batters.

2023 | Austin Peay 

  • Posted a 4-3 record in 18 appearances, including 10 starts, striking out 52 batters in 61.0 innings pitched.
  • Began the season with four appearances out of the bullpen before making a pair of midweek starts in March. He became a long relief arm out of the bullpen until moving into the weekend rotation in April.
  • Moved into the weekend rotation against Queens (April 16). In his six regular-season ASUN starts, he went 2-1 with a 3.21 ERA while posting 20 strikeouts in 28.0 innings pitched.
  • Made his first start of 2023 at Southern Indiana (March 7) and struck out a career-high seven batters in 4.0 innings (March 7).
  • Picked up his first win after following Paul Rector onto the mound at Murray State (March 22), tossing a career-best 5.1 innings.
  • Moved into No. 3 weekend starter role against Queens (April 16), going 4.0 innings and allowing two earned runs.
  • Tossed Govs’ fifth quality start of the season at Central Arkansas (May 7), allowing one earned run in 6.0 innings to pick up his second victory.
  • Winning pitcher in Govs ASUN Tournament-clinching win at North Alabama (May 20), allowing one earned run in 5.2 innings.
  • Also the winning pitcher in Govs’ first ASUN Tournament victory, allowing four runs over 6.0 innings against Jacksonville State (May 26).

2022 | Austin Peay

  • Led the team with 25 appearances, including five starts, and finished the season with a2-4 record while striking out 32 batters in 47.1 innings.
  • Went 1-2 with a 6.59 ERA in nine relief appearances during OVC play.
  • Appeared in the season opener against Boston College (Feb. 18) and supplied two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out one batter.
  • Made consecutive midweek starts at Southern Illinois (Feb. 22) and against Bellarmine (March 1) but was 0-1 in those two outings.
  • Was solid out of the bullpen against Kent State (March 4) and at Lipscomb (March 9), allowing one run over 2.2 innings against the Golden Flashes before striking out four batters in three scoreless innings of relief against the Bisons.
  • Stretched his scoreless inning streak to five innings with two innings of relief against Evansville (March 16).
  • Picked up season’s first win with an inning of scoreless relief against Southeast Missouri (April 2).
  • Went a season-long four innings against Southern Illinois (April 19) and earned his season’s second victory.
  • Provided three scoreless innings of relief in two relief outings at Toledo (April 30-March 1).

Prep Career

  • Played shortstop and pitched for head coach Ray McLennan at Fruita Monument High School.
  • Posted 1.47 ERA with 60 strikeouts in 43 innings pitched as a senior and batted .304 with 16 RBI, earning honorable mention All-Class 5A.
  • Tossed seven-inning shutout with 10 strikeouts against Montrose High School (May 12, 2021).
  • Began his career on the mound during the COVID-shortened 2020 season, appearing in both the Wildcats games, once as a starter and another as a reliever, and struck out four batters in 4.1 innings.
  • As a sophomore, helped Fruita Monument High School Colorado Class 5A Region 2 tournament in 2019.
  • He batted .348 with eight doubles and 18 RBI during his sophomore season.

  • Jacob Lewis Weaver is the son of Andrew and Megan Weaver.
  • Birthday is March 1.
  • Has three brothers: Dylan, Lucas, and Josh.
  • His father Andrew was a pitcher at Northeast Louisiana (now Louisiana-Monroe) for two seasons (1995-96) and was member of team that won the Southland Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Baseball Tournament in 1995.
  • His brother Dylan currently is a pitcher at CSU-Pueblo.
