As a redshirt sophomore transfer in 2014 – Had team-best 31 appearances out of the Govs bullpen… Pitched 32.2 innings with a 2-2 record, 6.61 ERA and 25 strikeouts… Had 15 appearances in OVC play with a 1-0 record and 13.2 innings pitched… Picked up relief wins against Milwaukee, March 9, and Eastern Kentucky, April 26… Struck out three batters and gave up no earned runs in 1.1 innings in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Iowa, Feb. 15… Had another three strikeout game in 1.1 innings against Southeast Missouri, April 13… Tossed season-high 2.2 innings with two Ks and no runs against Evansville in Game 1 of a doubleheader, March 26.

Appeared in two games and made one start as a sophomore before suffering injury… Compiled a 1-0 record and a save in nine appearances, including one start, as a freshman, striking out 15 in 15.1 innings pitched… Was named a TCCAA Distinguished Scholar-Athlete as a freshman and sophomore and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa academic honor society… Played under head coach David Shelton.

Was the 2011 Region 1 MVP after leading Grizzlies to District 2-AA Runner-Up finish… Also was Blue Ridge Athletic 2010 Conference Pitcher of the Year, 2009 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and 2009 Conference Rookie of the Year… During his prep career batted .424 while playing outfield and second base and compiled a 2.25 ERA with 216 strikeouts in 183.1 innings as a pitcher… Prep coach was Chad Tate.
